RESOLUTION NO. 11741
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI'rY OF CHULA
VISTA ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF CURB, GUTTER AND SIDEWALK AT THE NORTH
SIDE OF EAST "J" STREET FROM DENNIS AVENUE TO 378.8 FEET
EAST IN THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the following three
opened at 2:00 pm on the first day of
in Conference Room 5 of the PSB
Vista for construction of curb, gutter and
side of E. J St. from Dennis Ave. to 378.8
bids were received and

WHEREAS, it has been recommended that said contract be
awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, G. Spikes Masonry
who has assured the City that he is a licensed contractor
in the State of California and can produce an acceptable perfor-
mance bond.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Chula Vista does hereby accept said three bids, and
does hereby award the contract for said curb, qutter and sidewalk
construction to G. Spikes Mason:'! and CeIænt COntractor in
the ã!IDunt ot :;>13,421.75 to be completed ~n accordance with the
specifications as approved by the City Enqineer
of the City of Chula Vista.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor
of the City of Chula Vista be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute said contract for and on behalf of the City of
Chula Vista.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the amount of $2,800 is hereby
authorized to be transferred from Account No. 250-2501-GT155 - Cross
Gutter Removal - "L" and Fourth to Account No. 250-2501-GT170 - East
J Street Pedestrian Improvements.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the expenditure of $15,800 is
hereby authorized from the following accounts:
a. Account No. 250-2501-GT170-
East "J" Street Pedestrian Improvements $8,300.00
b. Account No. 602-6020-LTF09-
East· "J" Street Pedestrian Improvements $7,500.00
