RESOLUTION NO. 11772
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA AGREEING TO THE METHODOLOGY FOR THE NEGOTIATED
PROPERTY TAX EXCHANGE RELATING TO JURISDICTIONAL
CHANGES - LOWER SWEETWATER REORGANIZATION (CITY OF
CHULA VISTA)
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, on August 21, 1984, the City of Chula Vista
passed a resolution consenting to negotiate with the County of San
Diego outside the bounds of the Master Property Tax Exchange
Agreement for the proposed Lower Sweetwater Reorganization, and
WHEREAS, the County of San Diego Board of Supervisors
also on August 21, 1984 agreed to said negotiations outside the
Master Agreement, and
WHEREAS, the exact figures are unavailable until such
time as an auditor's report is prepared, and
WHEREAS, the parties have agreed to the methodology of
determining the tax exchange, and
WHEREAS, the methodology will be as follows:
All of the base and all of the annual tax increment from
the detaching special districts (Lower Sweetwater Fire
Protection District, County Library, and County Flood
Control District) shall be transferred to the City of
Chula Vista. The County General Property Tax is not
changed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Chula Vista does hereby agree to the following
methodology to determine the property tax exchange for the
proposed Lower Sweetwater Reorganization:
All of the base and all of the annual tax increment fram

Protection District, County Library, and County Flood
Control District) shall be transferred to the City of
Chula Vista. The County General Property Tax is not
changed.
