RESOLUTION NO. 2004-343
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHULA VISTA ACCEPTING THE 2003/2004 GMOC ANNUAL
REPORT REGARDING SCHOOLS, AND APPROVING THE
RECOMMENDATIONS CONTAINED THEREIN; AND
DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO UNDERTAKE
ACTIONS NECESSARY TO IMPLEMENT THOSE
RECOMMENDATIONS AS PRESENTED IN THE "2003/2004
GMOC RECOMMENDA TIONS/PROPOSED IMPLEMENTING
ACTIONS SUMMARY"
WHEREAS, the City's Growth Management Oversight Commission (GMOC) is
responsible for monitoring the City's eleven growth management quality of life threshold
standards and reporting their findings and recommendations to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, on September 14,2004, the GMOC finalized its 2003/2004 schools element
of their annual report; and
WHEREAS, the report covers the period from July I, 2002 through June 30, 2003,
identifies current issues in the second half of 2003 and early 2004, and finally assesses threshold
compliance concerns over the next five years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chula
Vista accepts the 2003/2004 GMOC schools element of their annual report and approves the
recommendations contained therein; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council directs the City Manager to
undertake actions necessary to implement those recommendations as presented in the
"2003/2004 GMOC Recommendations/Proposed Implementing Actions Summary."
