ITEM NO. 1 - RESOLUTION #503 APPROVING AN AGREEMENT FOR RELOCATION SERVICES
WITH PORT AND FLOR, INC. FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $5,000 AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
At the February 21 meeting of the Redevelopment Agency a pub1 ic hearing was
he1 d regarding the necessity of acquiring the Marina Motor Motel by eminent
domain. On February 23 the Agency adopted a resolution call ing for the
Motel's acquisition based on the necessity that sufficient public need exists
in order to construct Ti del ands Avenue. In acquiring the property the
relocation of existing tenants must take place to be in conformance with State
law.
RESOLUTION WAS OFFERED BY MEMBER MOORE, the reading of the text was waived by
unanimous consent, passed and approved unanimously.
Executive Director Goss stated there would be no legal counsel present at the
next meeting of the Agency - May 3-due to their attendance at an Attorney's
Conference.
MSUC (Cox/Scott) to cancel the ~1ay 3 meeting and direct staff to reschedu1 e
any items following the Council meetings of May 1 and May 3.
The meeting adjourned at 9:12 p.m.
