RESOLUTION NO. 2004-239
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHULA VISTA ACCEPTING $6,750 FROM THE CENTER
FOR PROBLEM-ORIENTED POLICING, AMENDING THE
FISCAL YEAR 2004/2005 POLICE BUDGET, AND
APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
WHEREAS, the Center for Problem-Oriented Policing is a non-profit organization
funded by the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Community Oriented Policing Services to
advance problem-oriented policing; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department was awarded $6,750 ITom the Center for
Problem-Oriented Policing to develop a motel guidebook as part of the U.S. Department of
Justice's Problem-Oriented Policing Guide series; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department was commissioned to draft a Problem-Oriented
Policing Guide entitled Disorder in Budget Motels; and
WHEREAS, acceptance of the funds ITom the Center for Problem-Oriented Policing will
completely offset the costs of developing the guidebook.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the City of Chula Vista
does hereby accept $6,750 ITom the Center for Problem-Oriented Policing and amend the Fiscal
Year 2004/2005 Police budget by $4,750 in supplies and services and $2,000 in capital.
