Balestrieri, Architects Arnis Silarajs and Bruce Albert 1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER: Chairman Winkelman called the meeting to order at 5:04 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL - Members present constituted a quorum for the transaction of business. 3. APPRO'IAL OF rmWTES - MSUC (Emmons/Burke) approved the minutes of June l4, 1982 4. APPEALS: (a) APPEAL NO. 82-06-06 - Vista Hill Foundation, 730 Dora Lane, Chu1a Vista - Director of Building and Housing Grady stated this appeal was deferred so the applicant (Vista Hill Foundation) could be represented by their architects. Architects Arnis Silarajs and Bruce Albert, Kaplan/McLaugh1in/Diaz, dis- tributed justification reports to all Board Members. Discussion ensued regðrding fire retardant roofing and sprinklers under the four arbors. j.1SUC (Kaya/Ernmons) approved the appeal with the provision that the arbor between the Administration and Day Care buildings be fully sprinkled and the. other three arbors to have a sprinkler head installed directly over the exit doors. APPEAL NO. 82-06-05 - Vista Hill Foundation, 730 Dora Lane, Chu1a Vista - The appl icant (Vista Hill Foundation) requested a code modification to allow construction of non-rated, fire resistive walls in the Nursing Unit Building at the proposed Vista Hill Hospital. Architects Arnis Si1arajs and Bruce Albert. Kap1an/McLaugh1in/Dias, displayed plans with explanations concerning the construction of non-rated, fire resistive walls. j,1SUC (Gurke/Em;nons) approved the appeal based on the testimony by the architects, a lotter from the Southern Regi on of the State Fi re j~arsha l' s Offi ce and the concurrence of the Chu1a Vista Fire Marshðl.
