Being a resident of Chula Vista, I am aware of the rapid demographic population changes, and the City's interest in addressing issues that are in the best interest for the community. One of my special interests is proper land use that will increase economic development resulting in creating employment, increasing tax revenues that can build on education for our youth and supporting our senior citizens. Chula Vista being the second largest city in the county can take a leadership role in setting an example to surrounding municipalities in proper planning. I bring 30 years of my professional experience in the areas of redevelopment by directÍy working in the construction industry. As owner and operator of my own business for 18 years, I bring an integrated knowledge of experience related to evaluating land use and planning proposals from the private and public sectors, in areas of building construction. In addition, we specialize in working with plans in the ship repair industry, both government and private sectors. My experience has gained me the ability to make constructive and cost effective decisions that will assist the City of Chula Vista's Planning Commission in the decision making process in the areas of planning, zoning, and subdivision issues. What would you hope to accomplish by your participation? As an entrepreneur, resident and involved citizen in various civic and community organizations, my participation on the commission is to work with a team that is open to the decision making process in all planning issues impacting the City of Chula Vista. My vision of accomplishments are in measuring results that will create a better livable community for all.
