RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CHULA VISTA ADOPTING THE OPERATING
BUDGET FOR OPEN SPACE DISTRICT #20 ZONE 7,
COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT 07-M, AND
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BUDGET FOR PROJECT
PRK0349 FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026-27 AND
APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
ENDING JUNE 30, 2027
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Chula Vista received and considered the City
Manager’s proposed operating and capital improvement program budgets for the City of Chula
Vista for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2027 (“City Manager’s Proposed Budget”); and
WHEREAS, on April 9, 2026, the Measure A Citizens’ Oversight Committee (COC)
affirmed that the City Manager’s Proposed Budget for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2027, for
the Measure A Sales Tax Fund was in compliance with the City’s approved Intended Public Safety
Expenditure Plan; and
WHEREAS, on April 16, 2026, as required by the City Charter, the Parks and Recreation
Commission reviewed and approved the City Manager’s Proposed Budget for the Fiscal Year
ending June 30, 2027, for the Parks and Recreation Department; and
WHEREAS, on May 14, 2026, the Measure P Citizens’ Oversight Committee (COC)
affirmed that the City Manager’s Proposed Budget for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2027, for
the Measure P Sales Tax Fund was in compliance with the City’s approved Infrastructure,
Facilities and Equipment Expenditure Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager’s Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2026-27 was presented
at the May 5, 2026, City Council meeting; and
WHEREAS, at the May 5, 2026 City Council meeting, the City Council accepted the
City Manager’s Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2026-27 as the City Council’s Proposed Budget
for Fiscal Year 2026-27 and set May 19, 2026, as the date for its adoption; and
WHEREAS, the budget submitted at this time for formal adoption and appropriation has
been published for the requisite ten-day public review period and represents the City Council’s
final proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2026-27, as accepted on May 5, 2026; and
WHEREAS, a copy of the City Council’s Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2026-27
document is on file in the Office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing on the budget was noticed and held as required by the City
Charter, and all public testimony was received and considered.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista,
that it adopts the operating budget for Open Space District #20 Zone 7 (Fund 372 Open Space
District #20, Organization 372660) and Community Facilities District 07-M (Fund 378 CFD 07M
Eastlake Woods & Vista, Organization 378621, 378622), and Capital Improvement Budget for Capital
Improvement Project PRK0349 for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2027 and appropriates funds for
Fiscal Year 2026-27 as summarized in the following tables:
