Present: Councilmember Chavez, Councilmember Inzunza, Councilmember
Preciado, Mayor McCann
Excused: Deputy Mayor Fernandez

STATE OF THE CITY ADDRESS
A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Chula Vista was called to order at 6:04 p.m.
in the Council Chambers, located in City Hall, 276 Fourth Avenue, Chula Vista, California.

1. WELCOME & EMCEE
The meeting was called to order at 6:34 p.m.
A video highlighting some of the City's accomplishments and contributions was
presented.
2. COLOR GUARD PRESENTATION
Civil Air Patrol, South San Diego Squadron 201 presented the colors.
3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG AND MOMENT OF SILENCE
LCDR Henry Martinez USN (Ret.) led the Pledge of Allegiance.
4. NATIONAL ANTHEM
Mercedes Gonzalez performed the National Anthem.
5. INVOCATION
Pastor Nemo Lemus, Rock Church Chula Vista, delivered the invocation.
6. STATE OF THE CITY ADDRESS
Ceci Garcia, President of Chula Vista Woman’s Club, introduced special guests and
dignitaries who were present at the meeting and formally introduced Mayor John
McCann.
Mayor McCann presented the State of the City Address.

As part of the State of the City Address, Mayor John McCann recognized key leaders of
veteran groups and organizations. During the presentation, Masis Kevorkian, Managing
Partner of Seven Mile Casino, presented commemorative medals while Maestro Manuel
Vera performed God Bless America.
7. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 7:23 p.m.
