HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2026-018RESOLUTION NO. 2026-018 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AMENDING THE AUTHORIZED POSITION COUNT IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, the Measure A Sales Tax Fund currently funds several sworn positions throughout the Police Department to enhance public safety and operational efficiencies; and WHEREAS, staff is recommending allocating fifteen Peace Officer positions to the Measure A Sales Tax Fund, as shown in the table below: Department Position Title FTE General Fund Police Peace Officer -15.00 General Fund Total -15.00 Measure A Sales Tax Fund Police Peace Officer 15.00 Measure A Sales Tax Fund Total 15.00 All Funds Total 15.00 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista, that it approves amendments to the authorized position count in the Police Department to reflect the changes described above.
