RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHULA VISTA ACCEPTING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
LEASE OF CITY FACILITY AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY OF CHULA VISTA AND MEALS-ON-WHEELS
GREATER SAN DIEGO, INC.
WHEREAS, City and Lessee previously entered into a Lease of City Facility Agreement
(“Lease”) on July 1, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the premises described in the Lease are for 1,096 square feet on the second
floor of the Norman Park Senior Center located at 270 F Street, Chula Vista, CA 91910 (the
“Premises”); and
WHEREAS, Lessee needs additional space to address growing community needs for
Lessee’s services from December 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026; and
WHEREAS, City and Lessee desire to amend the Lease to add to the Premises description
a 274 square foot office space located on the second floor of the Norman Park Senior Center to
accommodate Lessee’s need for additional space; and
WHEREAS, Lessee shall pay an additional $260.30 per month for the additional 274
square-foot office space at a rate of $0.95 per square foot from December 1, 2025 , through June
30, 2026.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista,
that it approves the amendment to the Lease of the City Facility Agreement between the City of
Chula Vista and Meals-On-Wheels Greater San Diego, Inc., in the form presented, with such minor
modifications as may be required or approved by the City Attorney, a copy of which shall be kept
on file in the Office of the City Clerk and authorizes and directs the City Manager to execute same.
