HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2025-169RESOLUTION NO. 2025-169 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA APPROVING AN AGREEMENT FOR SERVICE BETWEEN THE CITY AND LOCALITY MEDIA, INC. DBA FIRST DUE WHEREAS, the Fire Department has complex staffing schedules and management; and WHEREAS, because the Fire Department’s operations use complex staffing models to ensure proper staffing in order to meet the needs of calls for service, a specialized software is needed for proper time tracking and management of all Fire personnel across all divisions; and WHEREAS, the Fire Department released Request for Proposals (RFP) P14-2025 for Fire Department Staffing Software and conducted a competitive RFP process, pursuant to Chula Vista Municipal Code section 2.56.080; and WHEREAS, the selection committee comprised of staff from the Fire, Information Technology Services, and Finance departments evaluated the written proposals, hosted demonstrations, and interviewed respondents, the selection committee then determined Locality Media, Inc., dba First Due, to be the most qualified and cost-effective; and WHEREAS, the agreement is for an initial 21-month term through June 30, 2027, and will automatically renew for no more than ten (10) successive one-year terms; and WHEREAS, the agreement states the service fees can increase by a maximum of 5% annually above the amount set forth in the previous 12-month term, with an anticipated not to exceed amount of $385,000 for the full term of the contract. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista, that it approves the Agreement for Service, between the City and Locality Media, Inc. dba First Due in the form presented, with such minor modifications as may be required and approved by the City Attorney, a copy of which shall be kept on file in the Office of the City Clerk, and authorizes and directs the Mayor to execute same.
