I The GMOC's 1997 Annual Report on compliance with the City's Quality-of -Life

, Threshold Standards focuses on the period ITom 7/1/96 to 6/20/97. Pertinent
issues identified in later 1997 and early 1998 are also included. The workshop
SUMMARY: '--7'- provides the opportunity to comprehensively review the Report's [mdings and
~ ~ecommendations.
Staff recommends that: (1) the Planning Commission accept the
1997 GMOC Annual Report and recommendations as presented,
and adopt a motion recommending that Council do the same; and
(2a) that the City Council accept the GMOC's 1997 Annual Report
RECOMMENDATION: -7 and recommendations contained therein; and (2b) that Council
~ direct staffto undertake actions necessary to implement those
recommendations as presented in Attachment B - "1997 GMOC
RecommendationslImplementing Actions Summary".

Subject: REQUEST TO SCHEDULE WORKSHOP FOR CITY COUNCIL REVIEW OF THE
GROWTH MANAGEMENT OVERSIGHT COMMISSION'S (GMOC) 1997 ANNUAL
REPORT
Presentation of threshold compliance reports to the GMOC is nearing completion. They will
then commence preparation of their 1997 Annual Report, which is scheduled for completion by
March 26,1998.
The GMOC is seeking confinnation of a joint City CouncillPlanning Commission workshop date
for review of their 1997 Annual Report. The date presently proposed is Thursday, April 9,
1998. This workshop requires coordination with Planning Commission and GMOC members,
therefore your prompt attention is appreciated.
