Keeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. Present. Trustees Peters, Bent, Shaw, Wentworth, Lyons. READING OF MINUTES. !he minutes of the last regular meeting of July 7, and adjourned regular meetings of July 22 and 28, 1925, were read, and approved as read. ,.,....'" JlADRONA STREET. EAST OF FOURTH AV'ENtm. Mr. Cbas. E. Bashore protested against making any more cut on Kadrona Street, in the process of grading that street. He was of the opinion that the work could be properly prosecuted with the cut that has now been made, and requested the street committee to inspect the work. Decided that street commi ttee would visi t the work before any more is done. VACATION FOR CITY CLERK: The clerk, in a written application, requested a vaoa- tion for a period of two weeks, to be taken within the next two months, at such time as he can best arrange his work to permit of his absence. Granted'upon motion by Mr. Wentworth, seconded by Mr. Shaw, which carried. PERIODICAL REPORTS. The monthly report of the city recorder for the month of July, 1925, was read. and ordered accepted and filed, upon motion by Mr. Bent, sec- onded by Mr. Lyons, which carried. TRAFFIC WARTS: The clerk was instructed to purchase 25 traffic "warts", at a cost not to exceed $2.80 each, upon motion by Mr. Shaw, seoonded by Mr. Wentworth, which carried. REMOVAL OF TELEPHONE POLES. The clerk was instructed to write the manager of The Telephone Company, reque.ting the removal of telephone poles located at the fol- lowing points. One in Third Avenue, standing in )¡he driveway leading to the residence of Sherman Alexander; one in the alley lead.l1ng from Second Avenue, east side, abon* 150 feet south of E Street. ORDINANCE No. 130. Upon motion by Mr. Wentworth, seconded by Mr. Shaw, Ordin- ance No. 130 was placed on its second and final reading. The ordinance was read, and upon motion by Mr. Wentworth, seconded by Mr. Shaw, it was paBsed,adopted and approved as read, by the following vote, to-wit: AYES. Trustees Wentworth, Bent, Peters, Shaw, Lyons. NOES: None. ABSENT. None. This is an ordinance providing for inspection of gas piping when placed in buildings. i ! I ! ¡ I I I I i I i Lr r I ORDINANCE No. 131: Upon motion by Mr. Wentworth, seconded by Mr. Lyons, Ordinance No. 131 was placed on its first reading. This is an ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 122. relative to bill board advertising. SIDEWALKS: Upon motion by Mr. Wentworth, seconded by Mr. Shaw, which carried, September 1,1925, at 7.00 o'clock p.m., was the time set for hearing protests on the street improvem8nt work ordered by Besolution of Intention No. 114, which ordered the placing of sidElll'alks and curbs on 3rd Avenue, 2nd Avenue, E Street, Roosevelt Street and H. Street. JIotion carried unanimously. REST ROOM IN LIBRARY: Upon motion by Mr. Wentworth, seconded by Mr. Shaw, which carried, the request of the Library Board of June 2, 1925, for funds to consturct a rest room for ladies, in the Library building, was granted, with an expenditure of funds not to exceed $150.00. NON RESOLUTION No. 130. PROVIDING/PARKING SPACES ON STREETS. Mr. Lyons offered Resolution No. 130, which provides certain spaces on streets as non-parking spaoes for vehicles. The resolution was read, and upon motion by Mr. Lyons, seconded by Mr. Wentworth, the resolution was passed, adopted and approved, as read, by the following vote. AYES: Trustees Lyons, Wentworth, Bent, Peters, Shaw. NOES: None. Absent. None, JANITOR WORK IN CITY HALL: The question Of the janitor work in the city hall was referred to fire and police committees, with authority to act, upon motion by Mr. Wentworth, seconded by Mr. Shaw, which carried.
