MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED REGULAR J.lEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES, CHULA VISTA,
CALU'ORNIA., HELD FEBRUARY 16, 1926.
The Board met pursuant to adjournment, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall,
with President Peters in the chair. Meeting called t 0 œrder at 7,30 p.m. Present!
Trustees Peters, Bent, Shaw, ~ons, Wentworth.
SEWER SYSTElh The clerk read a letter and t.elegram, from the R. E. Campbell Com-
pany, advising the Board that the engineer' s estimate for the cost of the sewer system,
now contemplated, will not be ready until the regu.lar meeting of Marllh 2, 1926.

PLANNING COMMISSIONI A letter from Mr. G. J. Paulson, declining to accept appoint-
ment on the Planning Commission, was read, and upon motion by Mr. ~ons, seç:onded by
Mr. Shaw, the declination was accepted. President Peters then nominated Mr. F. A.
Taylor, as a member of the Planning Colllllission, and upon motion by Mr. Shaw, sec-
onded by Mr. ~ons, the nomination of the President was confirmed.
MINUTES OF PLANNING COMMISSION I Minutes of the Planning Commission meetlnga of
January 18th and 25th, and February 1st and 15th, 1926, were read, and upon motion ~ Mr.
Shaw, seconded by Mr. ~ons, action was taken thereon, as shown on the margins of each
paragraph of the minutes.
ORDINANCE NO. 1371 Upon motion by Mr. Wentworth, seconded by Mr. Lyons, Ordinance
No. 137 was placed upon its second and final reading. This is an ordinance regu.lating
the removal, care and planting of trees on the streets of the city. The ordinance was
read, and upon motion by Mr. Wentworth, seconded by Mr. ~ons, it was passed, adopted
and a pproved by the following vote, to...,itl AYES 1 TrusteeB Wentworth, Bent, Peters,
Shaw, ~onB. NOES I None. ABSENT I None.
F STREET. COMPLAINT AGAINST CONDITIONI William H. Parkey complained against the
present condition of F Street, between National and Bay Boulevard. He Btated that he
had complained before, but had not obtained any results. MeB8ers G. J. PllulBon and
E. Melmille, also, complained, and Bupported the contention of Mr. Parkey. The
Board advised that no repairs could be made on that part of F Street, until the Water
Company had repaired its leaky mains at that point, and the city engineer was instructed
to immediately set grade stakes on the part of the Btreet complained against, and the
clerk to notify the Water Company, at once, after the stakes are set, advi8ing the
company that the work of gradingwill commence as soon as the water mains are repaired
or replaced.
DRIVEWAY TO SCHOOL HOUSEl Mr. Warner Edmonds, of the local Grammar Sohool
Board asked the Board to assi8t in repatring the driveway leading to the rear of the
school building. He stated that the county is going to haul in some material from
its pit, near Sweetwater Dem, and the city agreed to haul a couple of loads of this
material.
BUDGET FOR THE NEXT TAX YEARI A discussion of the various items of the
proposed budget for the next tax year was entered into, a number of local residents
participating therein. Nothing beyond analyising various items was completed, and
the matter held over to the next meeting.
