Meeting called to order at 7.30 p.m. Present. ¡ruBtees Peters, Scott, Lyons, Wentworth, Barnes. ,-- SEWER DISTRICT No. 1: ~he time having arrived to open bids on the oonBtruction of Sewer District No.1, as advertised heretofore, the following bids were opened, read and declared. H, Peterson, the lowest bidder, which the city attorney found to be correct, Mr. Wentworth offered ReBolution No. 172, Which- iB a resolution accepting the bid of H. H. Peterson. The resolution was read, and upon motion by Mr. Wentworth, Beconded b1 Mr. Scott, it pas passed, adopted and approved by the following vote, to-wit. AYES: TrusteeB Wentworth, Barnes, Peters, Scott, ~ona. NOES I Trustees None. ABSENT I TruBteeB None. Mr, BarneB then offered Resolution No. 173, whioh is a resolution aocepting an easement from the San Diego and Arizona Bailway Company for a right of way to run sewer lines under the railroad tracks. 'rile resolution weB read, and upon motion 'of Mr. Scott, Beconded by Mr. BarneB, it was passed, adopted end approved by the follow- ing vote, to-wit I AYES I TrusteeB Scott, ~ons, Wentworth, Barnes, Peters. NOES I None. ABSENT I None. !nle city attorney then presented an agreement wi th the S. D. And A. Railway governing the work of sewer lines being run under the railroad traokB. '!hie agreement is dated September 30,1926. Upon motion by Mr. Wentworth, seconded by Mr. ~ons, the PreBident and Clerk of the Board of Trustees were authorhed and instructed to execute this agreement for and. on behalf of the Ci ty. !nle motion carried by the following vote, to-witl AYESI Trustees Wentworth, LyonB, Barnes, Scott, Peters. NOES I None. ABSBNTI None. PAlING STREETS I Mr. C. H. Stuart stated to the Board that some parties, said to be representing the Warrenite Paving interests, were circulating a petition for Bignatures of property owners on G Street, Baid property owners agreeing to pave the sides of G Street and the city to pave the center Btrip. The petition circulators are telling property owners that the city has funds available for paving the Baid center strip. and Mr. Stuart wanted to know if such were the facts. He, also, informed the Board that the petition ciruulators are saying that a member of the Board had Btated that funds were available. Mr. Stuart was advised that there are no funds now available aB above stated, and nc member of the Board had told the circulatcrs that Buch is the case. ACCEPTING STREETS AS DEEDEDI Mr. BarneB offered Resolution No. 170, which is a resolution accepting'a deed for 30 feet of land from the Chu1a Vista Citrus Association through the northerly edge of Lot 24, i-Section 137, for street purposes, which will open Center Street. NOES I None. ABSBNTI None. Mr. Wentworth offered Resolution No. 171, which iB a resolution accepting a deed from ThomaB Howe end wife, for ~ract C, in Howe'B Subdivision. ThiB tract consists of two feet of land lying in the northerly portion of Alma Street. The resolution was read, and upon motion by Mr. Wentworth, seconded 'of Mr. ~onB, it was passed, adopted andapproved, aB read, by the following vote, to-witl .AYES I ~stees Wentworth, Barnes, Peters, Scott, ~onB. NOES I None. ABSENTlxone. IMPOUNDING ANII>IALSI A letter from Mr. J. F. Covert, engineer, was read, in which Mr. Covert stated that he, or his men were not responsible for the esoape of a cow, owned by C. B. Offerman, aB appeared in the minutes of the meeting of Nov. 4, 1925. Meeting of November 16, 1926, Continued. SJIWER SYSTEM. A letter from the S. D. & A. Railway Company, was read, in which the Board was advised that the sewer main o~tfall had crossed under the main line of the railroad, and th. work of replacing cribbing, etc., will run in the neighborhood of .100.00. It was inferred that the R. R. Company had been unable to obtain this amount from the sewer contractor, and. the company would look to this city to protect it in the matter of collecting the amount due. The clerk was instructed to inform the R, R. Company, that the city would provide the protection asked. JlEDICAL SERVICES FOR PRISONERS. A bill from Dr. F. Eo Ashcroft for .6.00, for treating two persons confined in the city jail, was presented. The clerkwes instructed to voucher the bill, and. the Marshal instructed to inform the Beoorder, in order that the amount could be collected from the persons treated, by the Beco~er. ,-- WIDENING CURBS, A petition, signed by the property owners on Landis Avenue, between E and F Streets, asking the Board to widen the curb lines on that part of Landis Avenue to 40 feet, was reed. The Board found that the curb lines are now 36 feet, and decided that was sufficient width, until such time a~s that section becomes business property. ' PUNNING COMMISSION MINUTES, The minutes of the Planning Comminion for the meeting of that bOdy held November 8,1926, were read, and as no action by the Board of ~rustees was necessary, none was taken. WEED CLEANING. Mrs. J\!$y Jensen appealed to the Board for relief from a charge for weed cleaning appearing on her tax bill for property on K Street. In the investiga- tion it was learned that Mrs. Jensen had received a notice of the intention to clean the weeds. but had not received a bill for same. Consequently, the bill not having been paid, it was placed on the tax roll, with 25% added, ~s required by law. Upon motion by Mr. Wentworth, second.ed by Mr. Scott, which carried, the clerk was instructed to strike from the tax roll, the amount of the bill comprised in the 25% addld, amounting to $1.31. FU'TH AVENL'E. NORTH OFE: The question of the property end street lines on this thoroughfare was brought up by Mr. Peters, and the city engineer was instructed to set- temporary stakes along Fifth Avenue, and. the alley west of it, throughout the entire length of Rosebank Addition. This, with a view to settling the controversy of the lines in that addition. CoNVENTIons. EXPENSES OF, City Marshal Clyne asked to be reimbursed, to the amount of $30.00, as a part of his expenses while attending the Treffic Officers Convention, at Sacremanto, last week. Upon motion by Mr. ~entworth, seconded by Mr. Bernes, the request was granted by the following vote, to-it I AYES. Trustees Wentworth, Barnes, Peters, Lyons. NOES. Trustee Scott. ABSENT. None.
