KUIUTES OF A REGUW MEETING OF THE BOARD ))F TRUSTEES, CHULA VISTA, CALIFOrorU, HBLD
MARCH 1, 1927.
The Board met in regular session in the Council Challiber of the Cit;¡r Hall, on the
above date, with President Peters presiding. Meeting called to order at 7.00 p.m.
Present, Trustees Peters, Scott, Lyons, Wentworth, Barnes.

RAILROAD TRACIE IN THIRD AVENtllh Mr. Dillworth, attorney for the San Diego and.
.1rizona Hailray Company, appeared and presented maps showing the propoøed change in
in the traeD of hiø company, on Third Avenue, below K Street, with the request that
the change be made. The Company proposees to remove their track in the center of 'J!hird
Avenue ào'Îl¡}t K Street, and run the track from the center of 'J!hird Avenue, north of K
Street diagonaly to the platform of the Citrus Association Packing House. The request
was granted en motion by Mr. Scott, seconded by Jlr. Wentworth, which upon roll call
showed all trustees votinge AYE.

WATER SUPPLy, Jlr. G. J. Paulson recolllllended that the Boar-d take up the question
of an emergency supply of water for this city, by proposing to the Sweetwater Compay
that an 8-inch line be tapped into the San Diego City line frcm the Ota;¡r reservoir.
He thought that this arrangement cculd be made, and water from thiø source to be used
cnly in an emergency. Upon motion b;¡r Jlr. Scctt, seconded by Jlr. Wentworth, the pro-
posal of Jlr. Paulson is to be recommended to the Water Company. The roll oall on the
motion showed all trustees voting Aye.
f'lTmWUKS No. 21 The city engineer was authorlled to employ J. Y. Loop to Mke
the assessments, bonds and bond record, in oonnection with th~s project, upon motion b;¡r
Jlr. L;¡rons, seconded b;¡r Mr. Barnes, which, on roll call showed all trustees voting Aye.
!PBRIODICAL REPORTSI The montb.¡y reports of the city recorder and fire chief
for the month of Februar;¡r, were read, and ordered received alJi filed.
UNSANITJRY CONDITIONSI A letter was pr88ented from the Parent Teachers Association
of this city, in Which the condition of a dwelling on G Street, Between National and
First Avenues was reported as unsanitar;¡r and filthy. The clerk to inform the .beociation
that the Board of Health has this matter under consideration and haYe alread;\" ordered
the building vacated.
POLICE DEPARTIŒNT. A letter from Jlr. George Friend, Attorne;¡r, of Pasadena, CUif.,
was read, in Which he states that he is glad to pay a fine for a minor infraction of
the Motor Vehicle Act, on account of the gentlemanl;¡r conduct of Traffic Officer Kelly
whc made the arrest. He recites that if all violators are treated as he was by Officer
Kelly, none have any grounds for complaint. It was crdered to haYe this communication
referred to the Police Department the.sma as other communication of this nature.
NUISANCE. A notice to abate a nuisance at the city residence was presented from
the City Board of Health. It appears that an overflow from a septic tank iø the cause
of the nuiøance. Upon motion by Mr. Scctt, øeconded by Mr. Wentworth, a naw drain well
was ordered installed.

ORDINANCE No. 162. Upon motion by Mr. SCott, seconded b;¡r MI'. Barnes, which
carried, Ordinance No. 162 was placed on its first reading. Thiø 18 an ordinance
placing a penalt;¡r for viclation of sidewalk ordinance.
