Recommended Action: Commission to vote on a candidate to become the Veteran of the Year. 5.3 UPDATE ON MILITARY REINTEGRATION PROGRAM Commissioner Stewart to present an update on the program. 5.4 RE-ESTABLISHMENT OF THE VETERAN WALL SUBCOMMITTEE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR OF 2024-2025 Recommended Action: Commission to approve the re-establishment of the subcommittee for Veteran Wall. STAFF COMMENTS - Secretary announced the Veteran of the Year Award letter and announcement is currently in progress with the Communications team. - Liaison Martinez will be in contact with the team for any updates. 7. CHAIR'S COMMENTS - No comments 8. COMMISSIONERS' COMMENTS - Commissioners discussed the Veteran of the Year Award process. - Dateline is on August 1st, and commissioners would like for the Communications team to announce that applications are now open - preferably by June 25th. - Commissioners would also like the form to be printable for the people who would prefer the method. - Commissioners would like for the mayor to discuss VOTY at the next council meeting. 9.
