Pursuant to Chula Vista Municipal Code Section 2.28.050, the Board of Ethics will also appoint one Board of Ethics member and an alternate member to assist in reviewing Board of Ethics member applications, interviewing selected applicants, and recommending to the City Council one applicant for each available seat on the Board of Ethics. ACTION ITEMS 5.1 Review Draft Amendment to Charter Section 303(C) Regarding Timeline to Fill Vacancy By Appointments and Discussion of Next Steps for Recommendation to City Council Consensus of the Commissioners to have Commissioner Buddingh draft a letter to Council for consideration. Letter will be presented to the Commission for approval at a future meeting. 5.2 Discussion of Potential Qualification Requirements For City Councilmembers. Discussion regarding previous proposed amendment. Consensus to continue the discussion at a future meeting. OTHER BUSINESS 6. STAFF COMMENTS Assistant City Attorney Megan McClurg provided an update on the City Attorney election. 7. CHAIR'S COMMENTS Vice Chair Buddingh commented on the upcoming City Attorney election. 8.
