B. Bailey, and Mrs, ~atia Aeason. After discussion, Mrs. Acason was selected to fill the position, a~ Cl. Bradley offered Resolution No. ~25~, which is a resolution authorizing the ap- pointment, fixing the salary and specifying office hours. The resolution was read, was passed, adopted and approved, as read, by the following vote, to-wit: AYES: C] Conyers, Done, Bradley. NOES: None. LAWS PF~NDING: The clark read a letter from the League of 0alif~rnia M~uici] ities selling attention to Assembly Constitutional Amendment No. 11, an~ Ass~nbly i No. 1188, which, if they becc~ne laws, will deprive the cities of the parse--1 prop taxes now collected on automobiles and other motor vehicles. Clerk instructed to ~ our representatives to oppose the passage of these bills. WAT~ DISTRICT MAP: The clerk was instructed to write the Railroad with a view to this city obtaining a copy of the map which designates the bounderi, of the land on which water may be supplied by the Sweet~ater reservior.
