Hall, ~m the above date, with Mayor Done in the chair. Nestling called to order at
4:00 p. m. Present: Mayor Done, Ooumoilm~n Howe, Lyons, Brow~, Oonyere.
O~DINANGE No, P.~O: Upon motion by 01. Howe, eec~ded by 01. Lyons, which oar-
tied, Srdinanee No. ~-EO was placod on its second and fly-1 reading.~ ~e ordinance
was read, and was passed, adopted and approved, as read, by the following vote-to-
wit: AYES: Cl. Brown, Oonyers, Done, Howe, Lyons. NOES: None. ABSEnt: None.
ADVERTISING: A bill for advertising, in the amount of $~25.00, submitted by
~. E. BiscOm-n, was presented. In the discussion on this subject, it developed that
Mr. BlacW.~ had never been employed to advertise the city; t~hat the amouut of this
bill is the m~ou~t of the penalties added to Mr. Blaskmau's city ~axas for delLuque:
amd which delinquency Mr. Bla~k~-~ protested emme time ago. Hie protest was over-
ruled a~d the penalties paid by Mr. Bla~Wm,~. The Council felt that inasmuch as it
had denied refunding these penalties onco, it could not consistently now give the
amount to Mr. BlacW,~u u~der aother heading. Therefore, the bill was ordered not
paid, u~on motion by Cl. Oo~yers, seconded by ~1. B~ow~, which carried.

following bill, after e~,tnation by the finance coz~aittee, were ordered paid:
