COUNCIL~ CITY OF CHULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA, ~ JAhWJARY 20~ 19A~_
The Council met in the Council Chambers of the City Hall on the
above date, at 2 o'clock P.M., with Mayor Howe presiding. Present:
Councilmen Tln~uons, Perkins, Burnside, Kidder, How~. Absent: None.
BIDS FOR G~S0LI~E: The City Clerk havLug asked the major oil
cc~panies for bids for furnishing GasolLue requirements of the City of
Chula Vista, for 19&~, advised the council that only one (l) concern had ~
entered a bid. Due to the restrictions of petroleum stock at this time,
the other compamies advised thay were unable to bid at this time.
Upon motion by Councilman Perkins, seconded by Councilman Ti~nons,
which carried, the bid of the Union 0il Compauy of fifteen and one half cents
(1§~ cents) per gallon for Ethyl, and Thirteen and one half cents (134 cents~
per gallon for '?6' Ge~oline, was accepted.
COLORADO RI~ER WATER: The Council discussed at length the matter
of a vote to be taken on a Resolution offered at the meeting of the League
of Municipalities to be held in La ~esa Friday night, Yanuary B1. Upon
motion by Councilman Timmons, seconded by Councilman Kidder, v~ich carried,
the ~ayor was authorized to vote "No" for the City of Chula ~msta, providing
this "No" vote would not exclude the City of Chula Vista from participation
at some later date.
