The Council met in regular session in the Council Chambers of the
City of Chula Vista, City Hall, on the above shown date, with ~.~myor Howe
presiding. The n~eting was called to order at 7 o'clock P. Mo Present:
Cou~cilmen Howe, Perkins, Kidder,B~rnside ~d T~muons. ~bsent: None.
The minutes of the regular meeting held August 9, 19~J, having been
prepared ~nd n~iled to each member of the Council, were approved as prepared
and ~iled.
~Llnutes of the Planning Cormnission, held Sept~nber 7, 194~, ~ere
read ~ud ~pproved.
B. Starkey as a member of the Plannir~ Commission, and on motion by CounciLman
Timmons, seconded by Council~an Perkias, which carried, the appointment was
confirmed.
EESIGNATION OF CITY ~0P~.~.:. The clezt~ read a letter fro~
Ferdinand ~etcher, in which he stated that, having- received his call, his
services for the city as City Attorney, would cease as of ~'~u~st 18, 19~3.
IEA~E OF POF~I0i'~ OF STt~ET: There being a request from the Government
for a lease on a portion of "D" Street, west of 0akla~n Avenue, for the sum
of ~l. O0 per year, upon motion by Councilr,~a~ Perkins, seconded by Councilman
Kidder, ~hieh carried, the City Attorney was ~uthorized to enter into stipulation
for Judgment -~ consent to the entry of judgment.

local business men who were Dersonally in favor of the instellation of meters in
the business district, whereupon it was suggested that ~,~.l~llan n~ke a detailed
c~uvass of every business concern to dete~uine v.d~ether or not parking meters
were ~dviseble ~t this time, he to report ~t the next council ~eting.
