The meeting was called to order at ? o'clock P.~f., Present: Councilmen Howe, !~rkins, T~mons and Burnside. Absent: Oouncilmau Dunn. The minutes of the regular meeting held February 8, having be~n prepared and mailed to each member of the Council, web approved as prepared and mailed. MinuteS of the Planning Commission meeting held March 1, were read and approved. Minutes of a special meeting of the Planning 0ommission held February 22, were read, and, in the discussion which followe~ regarding Mr.Riesla~d's application for Temporary 2~n~ ~aismce, Councilman Perkins moved that permission be grsmted, but the motion was lost for want of a second. Upon motion by Councilman Tlmmon~, seconded by Oounci!m~n Burnside, Mr.Riesland's request was denied with the proviso that same would be approved if temporary buildings were to be a~ected instead of trailers brought in. ~otion was carried, with 0ouncilman Perkins voting No. RESIGNATION OF COUNCILMAN I~]~N: The clerk read a lette~ from Mr. Ch~wles B.I~,~ IT, in which he tendered his resignation aS Councilm~n to be effective at once. Upon motion by Councilm,= Perkins, seconded by CounciLman Tirm~ons, which carried, the resignation was accepted with regret, and the clerk instructed to so notify PR(Yl'~£' AGAINST TRAILER CAMP:. The clerk read a protest and request for removal of the Eilltop Trailer Haven, signed by a number of property owners in that vicinity. Among the complaints listed were - barking dogs, dogs running loose, tooting of auto horns, sanitary conditions not sufficient, children scre~m~g and fighting and playing in the street, loud speakers blasting out and general unsanitary conditions. ~iscussion disclosed that two councilmen had inspected the Trailer Camp, and, as the findings of fact did not coincide with the cc~plaint of petitioners, and that fifty per cent of the signers had previously signed a petition for the establishment of said Trailer Park, on motion by Councilman Perkins, seconded by Counci~u Burnside, which carried, the request was denied. REDEMPTION OF PR~:. The clerk read sm application from louise H.Pray, for the redemption of certai~ taX delinquent property in the City of Ohula Vista, whereupon Resolution No.6§3 was offered. This l~ a Resolution fixing the amoun1~ to be paid and authorizing and directing the execution and delivery of a Q~Ait Claim ~eed. The Resolution was read in full, and waS passed, adopted and approved by the following vote, to-wit: Ayes: Councilmen Perkins, BUrnside, Howe and Timmons. Noes: None. Absent: None. ~q0LUTION N0.65~: Resolution No.654 was offered. This is a Resolution ascap'ting the cooperative agreement between the County of San Diego, and the City of Ohula Vista. The Resolution was read in full, and was passed, adopted a~d approved by the following vote, to-wit: Ayes: Councilmen Perkins, ~urnside, Howe and Tin,nons. Noes: None. Absent: None. RESOLUTION N0.655: Resolution No.655 was offered. This is a Resolution accepting dedication of real property for public use. The Resolution was read in full, amd was passed, ~lopted smd approved by the following vote, to-wit: Ayes: Councilmen Burnside, Howe, TinEons and Perkins. Noes: None: Absent: None. ORDINANCE N0.314: On motion by Councilman TtrmB~ns, seconded by Oouncllm-n Burnside, 'whic~"carried, Ordinance No.314 was placed on its first reading. This is ~ Ordinance emending Section 2 of Ordinance No. 229, relating to the payment of certain delinquent t~es. MR.GREISER COMPLAINT,.', The clerk read a letter f~om ~.G~eiser, in which he 'complained cf certain builatnEs being erected on "K" Street, in which he termed, a violation of existing Ordinances. On motion by Oouncilman Perkins, seconded by 0ouncilman Ti~mons, the letter was referred to the Building Inspector for check-up and for report to the Council at next m~ et ing. ~SOLUTION N0.6~6: Resolution No.656 was offered. This is a Resolution deferring enforcement of the prOvisions in Ordinance No.313. ~ The Resolution was read in full, and was passed, adopted and approved by the following vote, to-wit: Ayes: Councilmen Perkins, Burnside, Howe and Tl~ons. Noes: None. Absent: None. RE~D~EST FOR POLIG.E. OFFICe_: Police C~m~ssioner Ti~mons requested authority for putting on a new poltc~m~, with the one month probation periOd, instead of the usual six months, at which time the sale~vy would be on a par with the other police. On motion by ~puncilmau Howe, seconded by Councilm-n Burnside, which carried, the request was granted.
