prepared and mailed to each member of the Council, were approved as prepared
and mailed.

confirmed.
RE~ FOR:~TRAIV.~w GA~P! Request- was ma.de for .the establishment of
a T!~iler~ .C~.:_.l~ "Itw'~t~eet west of NatiOmel Avemme on the G~sen prol~e~ty.
Inasmmch as a petition had been circulate~ for this csmp earlier, and the
necessary si~natures having been acquired, upon motion by Co~ncilma~ Dupree,
seconded by Counci~m~u !~erkins, which cax'ried, the City Clerk was authorized to
grant a license for a Trailer Camp at this location, if, in his esttm-tion, the
necessary ~equire~ents had been fulfilled.
~E,QUEST FOR ~ ~ETINGS: Request to hold religious meetings on
the street. At Th~r~'A~nue and F ~treet, was asked by a rel~resentatiVe of a
religious group now holding tent meetings on National Avenue. Upon motion by
Cou~cilman Perkins, seconded by Councilman Burnside, which carried, the matter
was referred to the Police ~mm~esioner, with power to grant or deny permission.
Whereupon Police Commissioner Dupree denied the applicatione
REO~E ,S~ FOR CUL~F-~C~: ~r. Guy Bigelow requested sc~e action be
relative to drainage of water adjacent to his property on Fourth Avenue. Upon
motion by Councilman Dup~ee, seconded by Oounci~m~ Howe, which carried, the
matter ~s reread to the ~treet Commissioner Perkins, with power to act.
I~,ITI~ FOR S~T, OILI~, ,: The clerk ~ead a ~etition from a number
of property owners on Fifth Avenue, ~equesting oiling of driveway approaches.
Upon motion by Counc~m-- Burnside, seconded by Councilman l~prse, which carried,
the matter was referred to Street Commissioner Perkins for investigation.
REQUEST FOR B(~D p ..A_v~$~T.: The clerk read a de.~nd from the San Diego
Improvement District Refunding Corporation, for payment of an A and I.D. Bond,
which ~es held by one of thei~ clients. Inasmuch as this matter was closed by
proper procedure several yee~s ago, the City Attorney reco~aended refnsal of paym~t.
Whereupon it was moved by Councilw~. Perkins, seconded by Councilman Dapree, which
Carried, that the recomm-ndation of the City Attorney be followed and that the
demand be denied. The City Attorney was instx~mcted to notify the above mentioned
corporation of the Council's action.
~E~t~EST F(~ p~W~T OF CLAIM: ~e clerk rea~ a request from Mt.Edwin
Yawger for payment of Ju~lgment and costs rising from his suit against the city, and,
upon motion by Council~- Dmpree, seconde~ by Council~au Burnside, which carried,
the claim was all.ed. ~r.Ya~ger also ~equeeted that s~ne def!-!te action he
taken regarding the matter of a master pl~ for the $ity of Ohula Vista.
As th~s ~tter had been previously discussed in council, and it
been decided that action wou~l be taken as soon as p~ctica~, the matter
wes tabled.
I~,~TTER OF ACum~PAN~: The clerk read e letter from Mr. Frank M.
Chase, in which he accepted the chairmanship for the office of Civilian
Defuse for the City of Chula Vista.
0RI~NANOE E0o310: Upon motion by Councilman Dupree, seconded by
Counc~lm~n Perkins, which carried, Ordinance No.310 waS placed on its first
reading. This is an Ordinance relating to enforcement of War Time l~estricted
Lighting and Traffic Control. The heeding was read in fu~ll, and members of
the 0ouncil being conversant with the text of the Ordinance, upon motion
by Councilman Dupree, seconded by Councilman Perkins, which carried, the
reading of ~he text in f~ll was waived°
CLERK'S ~J~0RT: The City Clerk presanted his yesrly report to the
City Council as checked and verified by Auditoes Diehl end Edwards, ~d,
upon motion by Counci~m~ Perkins, seconded by Councilm~n Burnside, which
carried, the report was accepted.
BAY ~.~.NOR DR~IEA~: ~M.Welton in c~apeny with ~roJaeger, explsined
to the Council their proposed plan for d~ainage of BayManor Subdivision.
After inspection of the plans aSd discussion by all concerned, the plan wes
given its O.K. by Street Co~w~esioner Perkins.
