The CSuncil met in regular session in the Cotmcil Chamber of the City Hell, on the above sho~n date, ~vith MayOr Howe presiding. The meeting was celled to order at ? o'clock PoM. l~esent: Ail members, excepting 0ounciLmsn Tirmnons. The minutes of the regular meeting held February 9, 19~2, having been prepared and mailed to each member of this Council, were approved aS prspa~ed and mailed. The minutes of the Planning Commission meeting held March 2, 19~2, were rem by the Clerk, and, upon motion by Councilmen Dupree, seconded by Councilmen Burnside, which carried, were approved aS read. PACIFIO ROVE SUBDIIrlSI(E~:, M~. George VoJohnson and Mr. Fred Iongworth, presented a tentative map of Pacific Grove Subdivision for approval by the council. After inspection and discussion, on motion by Councfl~ Perkins, seconded by Couucilw~ Dupree, which carried, the tentative asp was approved. RETNOIDS P~: Mr. George V.$olmson and Mr. Fred Long~rth also presented a tentative map of ReYnolds Park for approval of the Council, and, upon motion by Councilm~u Perkins, seconded by Councilman Bu~nside, which carried, the tenta- tive asp was approved. ~LUTIGN N0.635: Oouncil~n Perkins offered Resolution No.633. This is a Resolution accepting easement. The Resolution was read in full and passed, adopted and approved by the following vote, to-wit: Ayes: Councilmen Perkins, Burnside, t~we, Dupree; Noes: None. Abseht: Councilw~n Tlmmons. RESOLUTION N0.6~: Councilm~ Perkins offered Resolution No.634. This is a Resolution~ a4'd closing pOrtion of alley from Third Avenue to "G" Street. The Resoluti~9~'¥ead in full end was passed, adopted and ~oproved by the following vote, to-wit: Ayes: Councilmen Perkins, Burnside, Howe, Dupree; Noes: None. Absent: Council~ Ti~on~. C01~F~J~NCE GN PLUMBING O~Oi~TANCE: The Clerk read a caX~t from the Pacific Building 'Conference, requesting that the City send a representative to Los Angeles to attend an import~Ut meeting relative to plumbing ordinances in Defense areas. Building Ynspector Done, made the statement that he did not think it worth ~hile for the City to incur this expense at the present time, whereupon the matter dropped. PINBALL ORDINANCE: The City Attorney repOrted that a t~e~n~ative agreem~t had been reached between the major cities of the Sixth Class-e~ the Board of . Supervisors for the County of San Diego, to pass a uniform ordinance for control. of Pinball and similar types of games, but, because of the fact that the Board of. SuperVisors met earlier this day, ~d did not pass the Ordinance aS tentatively. agreed, he did not reco~nd that the City take action at this meeting until such time as a unifom action between Cities and Counties could be agreed on. U.S.O.B~ILDING: The City Attorney read the Lease Contract whish had been submitted to him byMr. Wayne A.Neale, for the control ~ operation of the U.S.0. Building in the Park. After discussion, it was moved by Councilman Dupree, seconded by Counci~-u Burnside, and carried, that the offer contsined in the Lease Contract be rejected and that the U.S.O. operate the building as ~as originally agreed upon, without expense to the City, or that the building be turned over to the City in its entirety, without restrictions, fOr the City to operate, or, that the building be locked up, until such time as a satisfse~ory program might be arranged. Councilman Dupree stated he wished to go on recOrd as definitely opposed to the W.P.A. and its methods of operation.
