M~inutes of a Regular Meeting of the Oity Council, held January 12, 1942
R_~SOI~0N NO. 628: Cl. Perkins offered ,Re~,olution, ,1~.o..~ 62~.~ This is a resolution
approving memorandum of agreement for expenditure of ~cent gas tax allocated for State
Highways. The resolution was read in full and was passed, adopted and approved by the
following vote, to-wit: Ayes: Clmen. Perkins, Burnside, Howe, Timmons, Dupree;
Noes: None; Absent: None.
REQUE,ST TO Sm~.T. OLD t~I~ULANCE: Police Co~i~ssioner Dupree requested of the Council
permission to sell to the Burnside Chevrolet Company the old Cadillac ambulance now on
hand for a credit slip of $100.00. Upon motion by Cl. Dupree, seconded by Cl. Perkins,
which c~rried, the authority was granted.
RE%bEST ~'.0~ ~£~ .CAR: Cl. Dupree explained the need for an additional police car
to supplant the one now used by Officer Hill. Upon motion by Cl. Perkins, seconded by
Cl. Tt~ons, which carried, Police Cow~ssioner Dupree was authorized to make the pur-
chase of a new Chevrolet ear for the Police Depsrtme~t.
P~QU~T ,~QR ,~ ,~,~ INCINER_~TOR: Upon motion by 01. Howe, seconded by Cl. T~mmOnS,
which carried, Police Commissioner Dupree was authorized to have am incinerator built
at the Dog Pound for the disposal of animals.
~,'~ CLERK HIRE: The City Clerk requested from the Council authorization to pay
~rs. Taylor from the General l~Aud for se~-~ices rendered in the setting up of the new
Occupational License Syste~. Upon motion by Cl. Timmons, seconded by Cl. Dupree, which
carried, authorization was granted.
ORDINY~ICE NO. 304: The clerk read the title of Ordinance No. B04 in full smd
fux~er reading of the Ordinance was waived upon motion by Cl. BuLrnside, seconded by ¥
Cl. T~mmons, which carried. The Ordinance was passed, adopted and ~pproved by the
following vote, to-wit: Ayes: Clmen. T!mmons, Dupree, Perkins, Burnside, Howe;
