The Council met pursuant to adjournment in the Council Chamber of the City Hall at 7 o'clock P. ~i. ~ith Mayor Howe presiding. Present: All members. APPROV~L U S Q BUX,LDING PI~NS: The clerk presented to the Council the construction plans for the U S 0 building 'in the Park and after ex~mtuation ~d discussion by the Council, upon motion by Cl. ~lt~mside, seconded by Cl. Timons, which carried, the plans were approved. PA~'I'iSON A.~, .: Due to a misunderstanding on the part of the city clerk in failing to notify petitioners in the matter of granting a zone variance to I~rs. Catherine Pattison as per instructions of the Council at their regular meeting held October 14th, the clerk was again instructed to notify all property owners ~lthin a dist~ce of five hundred feet, s~ud the petitioner, of the time and date of hearing on the matter of appeal, ~Jhich time and date is 7 P. ~f. November 10th, 1941, the next regular meeting of the City Council. ~,ir. Baird, attorney for E~rs. Pattison, was present at the meeting of October 14th and advised the Council that he had received a number of answers to his inquiries sent out to property ov~ers within five hundred feet of ~rs. Pattison's property aud that the results of these inquiries showed four for and four against with a u~maber non- committal or refusing to comment. RESOLUTION NO. 61,7: Cl. Ttmmons offered .Reso,lution No. 61~. This is a resolution accepting agreen~nt with the County for aid in oiling streets. The resolution was read in full and was passed, adopted and approved by the following vote, to-wit: Ayes: C~en. Perkins, Burnside, Howe, T~rmmons, Dupree; Noes: None; J~bsent: None. RESOLUTION NO. 618: Cl. Perkins offered Resolution No. 618: This is a resolution terminating proceedings to abandon and close alley freeze,bird Avenue to G Street in the City of Chula Vista. The resolution was read in full and was passed, adopted and approved by the following vote, to-wit: Ayes: Clmen. Perkins, Howe, Timmons, Dupree, Burnside; Noes: None; Absent: None. ~PPLIC~TION FOR C~RD T~BLE LICENSE: The clerk read a request for card table license from~Lr. John G. 'Taylor ~nd it having been ascertained from Chief of Police Kelly that there were no objections, upon motion by Cl. Perkins, seconded by Cl. Dupree, which carried, the clerk was authorized to issue a license upon payment of proper fee. BI~ P~iID: Upon motion by Cl. Timmons, seconded by O1.
