CHUIA VISTA, CALIFORNIA, HELD SEPT~BER 29th., 1941.
The Council met pursuant to adjournment in the council chamber of the City Hall on the
above shown date with Mayor Howe presiding. The meeting was celled to order at 7 o' clock
P.M. Present: All members.
REVUES?, .F.0R TAX ADJUST~9~T~: Mrs. Viola Ulemd appesmed before the Council with a
complaint on the assessment of improvsments on her property at 3rd Avenue and Madrona St.
Discussion brought forth the fact that the City Assessor, in conjunction with Mr. Edwards
the County Assessor, had carefully a~pr~ee~ this property and that unless some specific
reason could be sho.~m that the appraisal was unjust the City Assessor did not think a re-
duction of appraised value was in order. There was some question as to the assessment of
an electric sign and 0ity Assessor Bryant advised N~s. Dland investigation of this item
would be made and eox-ree~ion made, if found to be in order.
PURCHASE OF .ADDITION~L. POLICE RADIO: Upon motion by Cl. Howe, seconded by Cl. Timons,
which carried, the request of Police Co,.~,.~ssioner Dupree for authority to pu:chase two
additional police radios in an amount not to exceed $75.00 was granted.
