Up~ Minutes of an A~Jou~ned Regula~ M~eting, held September 19, 1940. the Building Inspector, Mayor Dome and Health Officer Aehcroft were requested to inspect the building and s~ings and report bask to tbs 0curtail at its next meeting. CHa~ 0F C0~E LETTER: The alarm again brought to the attention of the Council a letter fz~a Mr. Yack Millay, Executive Secretary of the local Chamber of Commerce, in which it was suggested that the Council authorize a half holiday on the afternoon of 0etober 8th, which will be Chula Vista De~ at the San Diego County Fair. Mr. Millan being present in the audience, Ma~or Done assured his that the 0ouncil would cooperate to the fullest extent. R~S01~'A'X01~ 1~,. ~,~= Cl. Iloee offered Resolution No. ~??. ~his is a resolution fixing a~ount to be paid for conveyance of and authorizing and directing execution and delivery of quit olai~ dee~ to certain p~ope~ty in the fo~mar Chula Vista A~ and I. D. No. 1. The resolution was reed in full and was pasood, aiopted and approved by the following vote, to-wits A~es: Cl~en. Dup~ee, Paxton, Ilowe and None. NOes: None. Absent: ¢1. Perkins. AiI-LXCATION F~ P(M~XTION AS M~I~lt~CLE 0FFIOER: The clerk presented a letter to Mayor Done f~m Mr. Xenneth '~atso, '~'~l~ing f'or a position as motorcycle officer in the City of Ohula Vista. )~ayor Done read the application in full and after a sho~t discussion it was ox~lered filed. ~ F.0R ~ R00~..~N PA~: The clerk read a letter fx~a Mrs. Paul Otis, Secretary of the ~outh ~ Tiara P. T. A., requesting the Council's consideration in the matter of providing adequate rest ro~a facilities in the ball park and in the civic bowl. The clerk was instructed to write Mrs. Otis explaining that inasmuch as the City does not own the ball park there were no facilities conte~lated there but that plans have already been made for the installation of adequate rest room facilities in the civic bowl as soon as funds are available. ~ IC~IOTES: The minutes of a regula~ meeting of the Planning C~-~tssion hold Sept. 16th were read in full by the clerk ami upon motion by Cl.
