The Council met purus~t to ~djourmuent in the Council Chamber of the City t~ll on
the above shown date with I,iayor Brovm presiding. L~eeting called to order at ?:00

=~BS~I'EE B~J~LOTS: The Council proceeded to count the absentee ballots cast
at the General Election of ~Pril 12th and proceeded to canvass the votes cast at
the consolidated v ting prec ncts oI the above mentioned e~ection. A~ter the count
and canvass were made Cl. Howe offered Resolution.:>Io. 515, which is = resolution
declaring the result of the said election. The Resolution was read ~ud set forth
that all requirements of law had been had, election supplies, etc. i~rnished, and
the election held in the time, form and manner as required by law. As a result of
this election Herbert V. Bryant, Vincent L. Howe and ~rthur Done were elected as
councilmen for the full term of four years and C. S. Tirmnons was elected as council-
~n for the short term of two years. Upon motion by Cl. Boltz, seconded by Cl.
Ti~Iaons, r~hich carried, the Resolution was passed and adopted as read by the follow-
ing vote, to-wit: =i2gES: Councilmen Bo~tz, Brm~n, HOwe, Tirmnons ~nd Bryant;
IIOES: I,!one; ~BSENT: None. '~.fter the Resolution was adopted and approved L~. Boltz
gave up his seat at the council table. The councilmen individually expressed their
sincere appreciation for the manner in which he had conducted his office. The oath
of office ~'~=s then administered to each councilman: H~ve, Tin~ons, Bryant and Done,

for mayor Cl. Brown nominated Cl. Done. Said nomination ~'ms seconded by Cl. Howe
and carried and upon motion by Clo Brown, seconded by Cl. Bryant, which carried, the
nominations were closed and Cl. Done was elected 1,~ayor by unanimous vote. There-
upon }f~for Done nominated Cl. Bryant as Police Conmulssioner, Cl. Howe as Street
Commissioner, Cl. Timmons as Fire Cormmissioner and Cl. Brown as Chairman of the
Finance Committee together with Cl. Tirmnons and Cl. Bry~ut. Upon motion by Cl. Brown,
seconded by Cl. Howe, which carried, the above nominations were confirmed.
S,i~LE, OF ~'~TER PIPES AI~D U,~TER SYSTE~: Cl. Brown offered Resolution No., 516~~
which is a resolution ordering the sale o'f the water pipes and water system includ-
ing the right to use and maintain the same upon public rights of way in Acquisition
and Improvement District No. i of the City of Chula Vista, County of San Diego,
State of Cslifornia, and directing the Clerk to give said hotice of Sale. The
City Attorney read and explained the Resolution ~ud upon motion by Cl. Brown,
seconded by Cl. T~mons the Resolution was approved and adopted as read by the fol-
lo~lng vote, to-wit: AMES: Brown, Howe, Tim~ans, Bryant and Dons; t~0ES: None;

OFF SALE t~,,,R LED ~,'flllE, (o~1,~ C,. FOST,ER: Notice of the Board of Equalization
that Sherm~ C. Foster had made application to said Board for off-sale beer ~nd wine
license was presented to the Council by the Clerk. The Council inquired of Chief
Kelly if he had any pretest to make regarding the granting of said application and
as Chief Kelly had no reason to protest the granting of s~me, notice was filed.
COUNCIL C,00PE~k~,I,0N: ~Jayor Done at this time expressed to the members of the
Council his appreciation for the confidence they had sho~m in him and for the honor
bestowed upon him. He s~ked for the cooperation of each member individually and
collectively and assured them that he would work with them for the interests of the
City.
C~,~ENDAT!0N OF D[q. BOLTZ: Upon motion by Cl. Brown, seconded by C1.Tlnm~ons,
the Council offered a vote of th~nWs for the sincere and worthy efforts displayed
by I~r. Boltz in his four years as councilm~n, i~r. Boltz in turn expressed his
~ppreciation for the cooperation the other members of the Council had always given
him and inf~:med them that it had been a pleasure to serve with them the past four
years.
