T~w~ons l~Otested the work being started on the pa~k without first having Planning Coz~Lission recommendations and final action by the Council. After discussing the misunderstanding which caused said work being started and upon motion by Cl. Boltz, seconded by Cl. Tlz~aons, which carried, the further develope~aent and pl.~.tng was referx, ed to the Planning COmmLlSSlon for their reeozm~ndationo The Council agreed that the work as outlined by the City ~-_mineer be continued until report is back from the Planning Ccmmission~ and cost of development to date determined. Fi~ LIC~, ,S~: The COty Attorney info~-med the Council that t~ePenal Code require~ the gover~wE body to authorize the city clerk to issue firearm licenses before they co~ld be obtained, and as ~-~th's Drug Store and the Chula Vista Point and Hardware Store wished to o~tain said licenses he, on behalf of said firms~ made application for said licenses. Upon motion by Cie Bryant, seconde~ by Cie Howe, ~ich carried, said applisations were approveA. I~JROHASI~.G AGENT AND BUDGET OFFICER: The d-w~nds and warrants having been previously passed tO the Councilmen for their examination and approval, C1. protested the pa2ment of the bill frcm~ the Revelation Water Co. for yearly service and furnishing water purifier as being to costly. Several other items were frowned upon as being unmeoeseary and Mayor Brown recommended that inammuch as there was to be a deputy clerk appointed who would be able to relieve the city clerk of same of his duties and at the sam~ time be available to the other departments when not needed by the clerk, that the purchasing and budget m~ing ghould be t~ensferred to the clerk which in turn would relieve the City Engineer so t hat the projects oc~emDlated could receive more of his attention. Upon motion by Cl. Timmons, seconded by 0t. Bryant, which ce-~risd, the COty Clerk was appointed P~rchasing Agent and Budsmt Officer. BIT.L~ PAID: Cl. Boltz moved and Cl. Bryant seconded that the bills be paid, however, ul~on the protest of Cle Tt~w. ons over the payment of the bill from the Revelation Water Purifier Go. the second and the motion were withdraw~. Upon motion by Cl. Timmon s, seconded by Cl. Howe, which carried, the said bill was held up and the P~rchaaing Agent instructed to ascertain the pries of a am-ller one which could be bought outright and report at the next meeting.
