The Council met pursuant to adjournment, in the 0ou~cil 0hamber of the 0ity
Hall on the above shown Rate, with Mayor Rife presiding. Meeting walled to order at
7:00 o'clock, P. M. Present: Mayor Rife, 0ounoilmen Howe, Lyons, Brown, Bolts.
PAVING STREETS DI~ue~ P W A: In connection with this city voting bonds to obtain
funds fro- paving certain streets in the city, upon motion by 01. Brown, seconded by
01. Lyons, which carried, Ordinance No. P~9 was plaoe~ on its first reading. This is
an ordinance providing for the issuance of bonds in the sum of $107,000.00, and on
this first reading the ordinance was read in full.
In the matter of the engineering work for this paving, upon motion by 01. Brown,
seconded by 01. Bolts, ~leh oa_~ried unanimously, Resolution No. ~84 was repealed.
This resolution was passed and adopted by this 0ounoil at its meeting of November
1934s but was not in the form desired. At this point, 01. Lyons offered Resolution
No.. ~85, which is a resolution authorizing the employment of Allen & Rowe, oivil en-
gineers, to handle the engineering work on the paving, ant directing the Mayor and
0lark to enter into a contract to that effect. The resolution was read, and was passed
and adopted by the following vote, to-wit: AYES: ¢1. Bolts, Rife, Howe, Lyons,
Brown. Nasa: None. ABS~I~T: None.
M. S. Hooper made a talk urging the Council to have the work of paving the
streets exten~_o.~, a period of time of a year or over, by paving one street every
two or three~.' No action taken.
TAX ROLLS, AUTHORITY TO f~&~GE: Upon motion by Cl. Brown, seconded by 01..
Howe, which carried, the tax collector was authorized to make certain changes in the
tax rolls ~r the years 1930, to 1934, inclusive, to enable 0. T. Floodberg to pay
the taxes on a part of his ~eal estate holdings, which was not assessed separately.
T~. CAN~-~.LATION OF: Upon motion by 01. Howe, seconded by 01. Lyons,
which carried, the tax ~olleotor was instructed to cancel the taxes, including all
taxes in arrears, due the city, on a strip of land deeded to the city by 0. T. Floodberg
for a sweet. This street is named ~onta Vista Avenue.

this 0ounoil adjourned sine die.
