The Couneil met pu~s,,=-t to adjournment, in the Oounsil Oha~ber of the City Ball,
on the above shown date, with Mayc~ Rife presiding. Meeting ealled to order at 7;00
o'olosk, P. M. Present: ~or Rife, 0ouneil~en Bolts, Brown, I4'one. Councilman Howe
was absent at the opening of the meeting, but a~rived and took his seat at the table
a few minutes later.

as he had praised ~is Co,ell that he w~d offer no ~ther resist~ee to the pro,ess
of ~is work, he was taking no action, except to voi~ a vote in the negative.
CITY BEA~TIFIOATION: In clearing the weeds from parkways of et~eete that h~
been planted with flowers by the Boy Scouts, ~a~or Rife stated that the boys had been
promised the aw of $2~.00 if the work was performed eetiefaetca'ily; but that in
eases, the work is not satiefaetory~ and suggested that $10.00 be paid to the Scout
