The City Council met in the Council Chambers of the City Hall on the above date, with Mayor Koester presiding° The meeting was called to order at 7 o~clock P~M. Present: Councilmen Koester, Nashold, Dyson~ Kidder, Rieslando Absent: ~onee OPINION OF FIRE STATION LOCATION: City Attorney Higgs stated that, in his opinion~ it was illegal to locate the new fire station in the city park at the location proposed~ and gave as his further opinion that the city could lease to the National Guard park land on which to build an armoury, inasmuch as the law is specific in this respecto RESOLUTION NO.8Ol: AUTHORIZING CITY ATTORNEY TO INSTITUTE QUIET TITLE ACTIONS. The Resolution was read in full and was passed, adopted and approved by the following vote, to-wit: Ayes: Councilmen Koester, Nashold, Dyson~Kidder, Rieslando Noes: None. Absent: None. CITY ATTOR}~A~ REPORT: City Attorney reported that the Crest Public Utilities Company ~had withdrawn its application to appropriate water from the Sweetwater Water Shed. PUGET PACIFIC PLANES INC. A representative of this corporation appeared bwfore council, showing a tentative map of proposed site for an aeroplane fact~ry~ and a 2000 foot concrete runway at the foot of "J" Street. He asked that if the council felt kindly toward the project that they authD~ize the administrator to write a letter to the corporation so stating. The discussion which followed included the matter of a location for a new sewer outfall plant and it was found that the plant could be installed without interfering with the proposed runway, and administrator Bryant was authorized to write a letter of endorseSent to the Puget Pacific Planes Inco, COST ESTIMATE SEWA~ PROJECT: A letter from Kistner, Curtis and Wright, setting forth a tentative cost estimate for sewer outfall plant and Interceptor Mains, was presented~ and~ after discussion, was filed. BT~J.S PAID: Warrants Nos.6103 and 6104, after examination by the entire board upon motion by Councilman Riesland~ seconded by Councilman Kidder, which carried~ were ordered paido ADJOURNMENT: Upon motion by Councilman Riesland, seconded by Councilman Kidder~ which carsAed~ the meeting was adjourned sine die.
