OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA. CALIFORNIA~ HELD W~DNESDAY. AUGUST 20, 1947
The City Council met in the Council Chambers of the City Hall on the above
date, with the following members present: Councilmen Koester, Nashold, Dyson,
Kidder, Rieslando Absent: None.
C~1VAS~ BF ABS~TEE VOTER BALLOTS OF SPECIAL BOND ELECTION HELD AUGUST 19~1947.
The clerk reported that all Absentee Ballots issued had been voted and returned~
and the council thereupon proceeded to canvas the Absentee Voter Ballots. The
res~ults w~re as follows:-

ABSENTEE VOTER BALLOTS CAST AGAINST THE BONDS

RESOLUTION 82~: AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS FOR BIDSo
Councilman Dyson offered Resolution No.823o The Resolution was read in f~ll and
was passed, adopted and approved by the following vote, to-wit: Ayes: Councilmen
Dyson, Kidder~ Riesland, Koester, Nashold. Noes: ~oneo Absent: None.

Councilman Kidder offered Resolution No~824. The Resolution was read in full
and was passed¢ adopted and approved by the following vote, to-wit: Ayes:

PURCHASE OF EENCE: On motion by Councilman Nashold, seconded by Councilman
Kidder, which carried~ City Administrator Bryant was authorized to purchase 700 feet
of seven (7) foot Fence from Tavares Construction Company at a price of $600.00.
SAN DIEGO ELEC~¢IC RAILWAY RATE ~Ci~EASE PROTEST: On motion by Councilman
Riesland~ seconded by Councilman Kidder, which carried, City Administrator Bryant
was instructed to write a letter to the Railway Commission protesting against
any increase in rates for bus fare°
PLP~ISSION 1~ ~AVE STATE: On motion by Councilman Nashold, seconded by Councilman
Kidder~ which carried~ Mayor Koester was granted permission to leave the State
from August 22, 1947 to September 8, 1947o
ADJOUR~7~T: Upon motion by Councilman Riesland, seconded by Councilman Kidder,
~ich carried, the meeting was adjourned to August 26, 1947 at 7 o~clock P.M.
