stated that he .~uld have the fire dependent attend to the matter~
C,~ VACf~IOE: ~ne City Clerk requested perF~ssion from the Co~cil to t~e
his ~cation as he could best arr..ge it. Upon motion by Cl. Tirm~ons, seconded by
Cl. Howe, which c~ried his request ~s ~ted.
V[~ T~ ~[~ ~ION: The clerk info.ed the 0o~cil that the ordin~ce
extending the 7% p~alty on 'delinquent t~es would e~ire Yuly 15, 1937, ~d
suggested that if they e~ected to extend the said p~alty for ~other ye~ it
m~t be ~11 to have ~ ordin~ce dra~ up for the ne~ ~eting so that it ~uld
bache e~fective shortly after the other one had e~ired. Upon motion by Cl. Howe,
seconded by Cl. Boltz, w~ch c~ried, the City Atto=ay ~s instructed to draw up
s~id ordin~ce.
M~ B~G ~: ~e 0ity ~gineer i~omed the Co~cil that he had contacted
the National Youth ~nistration in raged to obtaining fz~mds for the buildi~
of a Co~lty house on the p~k site but that ~e[r policy was not in supplying ~nds
but in developement of Youth ~o~. ~so the Works ~ogress ~8~nistration
contacted but their aid would be liMted to 6~ of mteri~ cost~ ~d the furnishing
of co.on labor on~ as there is a lack of skilled labor at this t~e. l~othing
definite could be done at this thee ~der the above conditions.
P~ ~0~ ~,S: ~e 0ity ~gineer state t~t the National Y~th A~nistr~tlon
orgmization in Chula Vista had a l~ge lot devoted to the raising of ~lo~rs ~d
would be e~ious In the plating ~d c~ing of flo~rs on city p~perty. He suggested
that circul~ beds be plated in the plaza; one to be located bergen each end ~d
wal~ay. ~e Co.oil stated they approved the suggestion. ~e City ~gineer also
inffo~ed the Co~cil that the s~d org~ization could be relied upon to help in
p!~ting ~d c~lng for the flo~rs at the libr~ ~d on certain parkings.
