The Council met in special session, in the usual place for holding meetings, in
the City Hall, on the above shown date, with Mayor Brown presiding° Meeting called
to order at 4:00 o'clock, P. 2~ Present: All members° This meeting was held in
compliance with a call for a special meeting, issued by the Mayor, which is as follows:

"You and each of you is hereby notified that a SI~ cial meeting of
the City Council of the City of Chula Vista, California, is called to mmet
in the usual place of meeting in the City Hall, in the City of Chula Vista,
California, at 4:00 o'clock, P. ~., Friday April 16, 1937o

To consider re: application 883J-California Water & Telephone Co.
Applicant.
National City, a m~nicipal corporation,

And to consider approving the ~atter of legal services as set forth
in the letter of T. Bo Cosgrove of April 15, 1937, on file in the office
of the city clerk.

"I, ~.i.E. Kelly, Chief of Police of the City of Chuls Vista,
California, do hereby certify that I have personally delivered one copy
of the foregoing call for a Special L!eeting, to each member of the City
Council, whose name appears above.
Delivery made to each member by 11:45 O'clock, A. M. April 16, 1937.

l~Hd~R PROTEST: The letter of T. Bo Cosgrove, of Cesgrove & 0'Nell, Los ~ngeles,
I;o Cl. Howe explaining the draft of the P~test of the application of the California
Water and Telephone Company No. 8833 and stipulating the terms which would be acceptable
to handle said protest. Cl. Howe offered Resolution No. %73~ which is a resolution
employing the firm of Cosgrove and 0'Neil to represent the said Protestants and
accepting said terms as stipulated in said lettes to-wit: $250°00 payable at this
time and $250.00 if attendance of counsel at the hearing of said application be
necessary; it being understood that the City of National City, California, being
a co-protestant with the City of Chula Vista, California, is to pay to said counsel
like sums$ The resolution was read and upon motien by C1.Boltz, seconded by Cl. Lyons,
was passed and adopted as read by the following vote, to-wit: AYES: Cl. Boltz,
Brown, Howe, Lyons and P~ifel NOES: None° ABSENT: None°
ADJOURN~ENT: Upon motion by Cl. Ri~e, seconded by Cl. Lyons, which carried, this
Council ad journe'd.
