Councilmen Koester, Riesland, Dyson, Kidder. Absent: CounciLman Nashold. BILLS PAID After examination by the entire Council and approval of the Finance Con~nittee, Warrants No. 1329 and 1330 were approved for pay~ent by the following vote to-wit: AYES: CounciLmen Kidder, Koester, Riesland, Dyson. NOES: None. ABSEh~: Councilman Nasholdo ~RESOLUTION NO. 1065 - Approving letter to H. H. ~acqueth (regarding High School Sewer) Offered by CounciLman Kidder, read in full, passed, adopted, and approved by the following vote to-wit: AYES: Councilmen Kidder, Koester, Riesland, Dyson. NOES: None. ABSEET: Councilman Nashold. Councilman Nashold arrived at this point. BRIG~n~fW00D AVENUE - Proposed Improvements ~r. H. C. Foster, C. E., presented a proposed improvement plan of Brightwood Avenue off of Parkway. After discussion, it was moved by Councilman Rieslaud, seconded by CounciLman Dyson, and carried, that the plans be approved. ~FIREHYDRANTS The City Administrator read a letter from Fire Chief, George Lee, requesting authority to have the California Water and Telephone Company install standard two- way 2~ inch fire hydrants at I Street and Hilltop Drive and Halsey Street and Second Avenue. It was moved by CounciLman Nashold, seconded by Councilm~ Kidder, and carried, that such authority he grouted. ~[0RDINANCE NO. 410 Ordinance No. 371 Sales Tax Amending It was moved by Councilman Riesland, seconded by Councilman Kidder, and car- ried, that Ordinance No. 410 be placed on its second reading° The title having been read and the Ordinance being in the same form as when placed on its first reading, it was moved by Co~cilm~n Kidder, seconded by Councilman Nashold, and carried, that the reading of the text be waived. The Ordinance was passed, adopted, and approved by the following vote to-wit: AYES: Councilmen Kidder, Koester, Riesland, Nashold, Dyson. NOES: None. ABSEK~: None. 0RDIN~CE NO. 411 - Fire Zone Ordinance The City Administrator read e letter from Fire Chief, George Lee, requesting that the Fire Zone Ordinance No. 295 be revised. It was moved by Council~n Nashold, seconded by Councilr~an Kidder, and carried, that Ordinance No. 411 be placed on its first reading. The Ordinance was thereupon read in full. ~CEEATIO~ CO~SSION - Request for equipment ~. Albert C. Boyer, representing the Recreation Commission, requested that the City either replace or repair the back stop at the baseball field. Aft~r~ discussion, it was moved by Councilman Kidder, seconded by Councilman Dyson, and carried, that the existing back stop be repaired by City crews. CHEST X-RAY - Reque st for contribution t~. Bryant stated that the Chest X-Ray, a non-profit corporation, had re- quested the City to contribute to their i~nd. After discussion, the matter was referred to the City Attorney to check and report back to the Council. ~PT;RCH~SE OF k~C GAUSLANDHOUSE It was moved by Councilman Nashold, seconded by Councilman Kidder, and car- ried, that the McCausland House be purchased for $1~,500 by the following vote to-wit: AYES: Councilmen Nashold, Dyson, Kidder, Koester, Riesland. NOES: ~Tone. ABSEh~: None. It was moved by Councilman Riesland, seconded by Councilman l~ashold, and carried, that the meeting adjourn sine die.
