M. with the following members present: Counci!w~n Eoester, Rlesland, Dyson, Kidder. ABsent: Councilman Nashold. GASOLINE BIDS Bids for supplying the City with gasoline for the coming year were opened. It was moved by Counc~- Riesland, seannded by Councilman Dy~on, and carried, that the bids be referred to the City Attorney and 0ity A~ministrator to check over and report their recow~.endations to the Council at their next meetihg. B~3-~ PAID After ex-ruination by the entire Council and approval of the Finance it was moved by Counc~lw~. Dyson, seconded by Councilman Kidder, and carried, that w~rrants 1818, 1819 ~md 1820 be paid. ~/WAR ~0RIAL Mr. Barker, representing the South Bay Veteran's Co-ordinating Council and Veterans CC~ission appeared before the 0ouncil with a sketch of the proposed plaque to be put in the Civic Bowl, and requested money from the City to finish paying for s~ae. It was moved by Counc~lm~- Riesland, sesonded by Counci~-~ Kidder, and carried, that the City appropriate an --~unt not to exceed $2~00.00 for the base of the war memorial plaque. ~UAVA ~ - Final Map Mr. Harold C. Foster presented the final map for Guava Manor. The improvement plans not being cc~.plete, it was moved by Councilman D~son, seconded by Counc~l-~ Eidder, and carried, that the map be refered to the City Engineer for further study and checking. ~I~E~0LUTION NO. 1095 - Approving agreement for subdivision i~rovements (EUebler Terrace No. ~) Offered by Counc~l-~- Koester, read in full, passed, adopted, and approved by the following vote, to-wit: AYES: Councilmen Koester, Riesland, Dyson, Kidder. NOES: None. ABSENT: Counci~ w~ Nashold. /(~ - UNIT "C# - Final Map It was moved by Councilman Riesland, seconded by Counci~w~- Dyson, and carried, that the final mep and improvement plans of ¢lairevista Unit "C" be accepted subject to the further checking of angineering details by the City Engineer. ~RE~0LUTION NO. 10~$ - Approving agreement for subdivision imprOvements (Clalrevista - Unit Offered by Counci!m-n I~yson, rea~ ~m full, passed, adopted, and approved by the following vote, to-wit: AVES: Councilmen Dyson, Kidder, Koester, Riesland. NOES: None. AB~: Counci~ ~n Nashold o LOTS ~? A~D 30, QUA~'A~ SECTION 147 - Tentative Map Mr. C. A. Long, representing Mr. W. F. Nor~, presented the tentative map for a subdivision of Lots ~? and 30 of Quarter Section 147. After discussion, it was moved by Councilman Riesland, seconded by Councilman Koester, and carried, that the tentative map be approved. ~0LUTIGN NO. 1097 - Approving agreement for subdivision improv~nents (Franoine !~rk). Offered by Counctlm~ Dyeon, read in full, passed, adopted, amd approved by the following vote, to-wit~ AIES: Council~u Dyson, Kidder, Koester, Riesland. ABSENT: ~Ulle ilm~ Nashold. ~ MANOR SEWER The City a~.tnistrator explained to the Council that it was impossible for the City Engineer to take care of the current work and get to the Bay Manor Sewer work in the near future. It was moved by Co~ne~lm-- Riesland, seeohded by Councilman Dyson, and carried, that the City Administrator be authorized to secure whatever help is ne- cessary to carry the Bay Manor Job through. ~FIRE ~ - ;~dis and F Street. It was moved by Counoi~mp Kidder, seconded by Councilman Dyeon, and carried, that Fire Chief George Lee be authorized to have the California Water & Telephone C~peu~F install a standard two-way 2~ inch fire hydrant at the corner of !~dis Avenue end F Street. \× ,'~0WER STREET - Opening West of Fourth Avenue. The City ~gineer presented a plot to the Council shc~ing the p~oposed opening of Flower Street immediately West of Fourth Avee~e, along with two letters from Mr. Nox~a~ to the City 0ouncil. It was moved by Oounei]~ Dyson, seeom~ed by Councilw~. Riesland, and carried, that the City accept the tentative offer according to the terms of those two certain letters from Mr. W. E. Nc~=-~ dated February 16th, 1950. /~<~CTIi~ FINA!qCE OFFICER The City ~m~nistrator requested permission to appoint Mrs. Peek as acting finance officer on a temporary basis. It was moved by Counci]~ Dyson, seconded by Coune~l.~-~ Riesland, and carried, that such authority be granted. ~D~'%'ff CONTRACT ~ - Harry Buddy Evans. It was moved by Coune~!m~ Riesland, seconded By COuncilman Kidder, and carried, that the indemnity contract agreement signed by Harry Buddy Evans relating to the trial installation of a lighting s~stem West of Bay Boulevard along G Street, be approved.
