M. with the following members present: Oounci!~n Koester, Rieslaud, Nashold, Dyson, smd Kidder. Absent - None. PAY BTr.T.~ It was moved by Councilman Riceland, seconded by Cou~cilman Na~old, and carried, that warrants no. 1920 to l~r. W. Norman in the amount of $800.00, no. 192E for book on Codification of Ordinances in the amount of $3.00, and no. 1924 to Mr. P. E. Burnham in the amount of $3,0~S.00 be approved for payment. Oouncilm-n Kidder declined to vote on the payment of warrant no. 19E4 in view of his previous action on the contract with Mr. ~LICE OAR - Purchase of. It was moved by Counc~lm.m Nashold, seconded by Counci]m-u Kidder, end carried, that a special equipped Ford for the police department be purchased, and that a careful record be kept of all expenses. OOUncilm~n Riesland voted no. ~IET TITLE ACTION - Country Club Villas, 4 lots. It was moved by Councilman Riesland, seconded by Councilman Dyson, and carried, that Mr. Bryant be authorized to proceed with quiet title action on 4 lots in the Country Club V~llas owned by the City. It was moved by Oounc~lm-n Nashold, seconded by Councilm~ Riesland, end carried, that The ~alifornia Water and Telephone Go,party install standard two-way ~, fire hydrants at the following locations:-- Corte Maria ~ud H Street, Mankato and Whitney Street near First Avenue, and M-~kato and Whitney Street near Second Avenue. 01~DINANOE NO. 416 - Oh~ges in Zoning 0rdinence No. ~98 - Notice of Public Hearing. A proposed Notice of Hearing on Ordinance No. 416 to be published was read and the date for public hearing was set for April lBth at ?:00 o'clock P. M. ~S0LUTION NO. 1104 - Approving agreement for subdivision improvements (Chula ViSta Highlands) Offered by Oouncilm-~ Dyson, read in full, passed, adopted and approved by the follow- ing vote to-wit: AYES: Councilmen Dyson, Kidder, Koester, Riesland, Nashold. NOES: None. AB~: None · ~EES0LUT!0N NO. 1105 - ApproVing agreement for subdivision improvements 29 and in ~ section 147). Offered by Councilman Nashold, read in full, passed, adopted and approved by the following vote to-wit: AYES: Councilmen Nashold, Dyson, Kidder, Koester, Rieslaud. NOES: None. ABSENT: None. ~LUTION NO. 1106 - Accepting dedication - Sewer easement from Alfred Combs. Offered by Councilman Riesland, read in full, passed, adopted end approved by the following vote to-wit: AYES: Councilmen Riesland, Nashold, Dyson, Kidder, Koester. NOES: None. ABSENT: None. CORRESPONDENCE The City Clerk read a letter from ~ir. Rindone, Principal of the Chula Vista High school requesting that boulevard stop signs be placed at the corner of Fourth Avenue and K Street and at the corner of Fourth Avenue and L Street. Mr. Bryaht was instructed to investigate and see that the proper school zone signs were posted° The City Clerk read a letter from the National City-Chula Vista Realty Board indicat- ing that they were opposed to "spot zoning variances." The City Clerk was advised to write a letter to the Realty Board and inform them that the letter had been read before the Counsil and that the matter would be referred to the Planning Oomission. The City Clerk read another letter frcm the Realty Board requesting that one of their members be appoihted to serve on the City Planning and Zoning Co~ission. It was moved by Councilman Riesland, seconded by Councilman Nashold, and carried, that the City ~_~mtnistra- tot be instructed to write a letter to the Realty Board inviting members to attend meetings of the lml-n~ing Commission and to feel free to express their opinions on any matters. The City Clerk read a letter from Mrs. Butekofer requesting that signs be allowed at E Street and National Avenue end E Street and Fourth Avenue, to advertise the location of the Lutheran Pilgrim Church. It was moved by Councilmen Dyson, seconded by Councilman Kidder, and carried, that the matter be referred to the Chief of Police. ~DGE BEIM~ - Construction of. It was moved by Councllm-n Riceland, seconded by Councilman Kidder, and carried, that the expenditure estimated by the Engineering Department for construction of two sludge beds in the omount of $2,100.00 be approved° ADIO~ It was moved by Councilman P. lesland, seconded by Councilman Nashold, and carried, that the meeting adjourn sine die.
