OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA
Held ~ June 14, 1950
The Council met in the Council Chambers at 7:00 o'clock P.M. on
June ld, 195u with the following members present: Councilmen DeWolfe,
Kidder, Logan and Riesland. Absent: None.
Resolution No. 1136, which is a "Resolution of the City Council of the
City of Chula Vista, California, Concerning Modification of Assessment and
Diagram for Certain Sewer Proceedinj~s Under Resolution No. 1037", was of-
fered by Councilman Rieslmud, read in full, and passed, adopted and ap-
proved by the following vote, to-wit:
AYF~: Councilmen Riesland, Logan, DeWolfe, Kidder°
NOES: None.
ABSFi~T: None.
Resolution No. 1137, which is a "Resolution of the City Council of the
City of Chula Vista, California, Making Determinations and Confirming
Assessment and Proceedings", was offered by Councilm~u Logan, read in
full, passed, adopted and approved by the following vote, to-wit:
AYES: Councilmen Logan, DeWolfe, Kidder, Rieslando
NOES: None.
ABSE~T: None.
Sale of City Hall
Mr. Malter made the following verbal offer to buy the City Hall:
Total price $1,7,500.00
Down Payment 2,500,00 (to be paid as commission to
~r. Malter)
Balance in three years at 4%.
Mr. Robert Griffin made a firm offer of $45,000.00 net to City,
payable $7,500 down and balance in two years at 5% on unpaid balance°
It was then moved by Councilman Riesland, seconded by Councilman
Logan, and carried, that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a
notice of "call for bids" for the sale of the City Hall on July ll, 1950,
and that the City Clerk cause same to be published twice in the Chula Vista
Star.
Church ~emptions
The following churches, having filed late for exemptions, requested
that their applications be honored as they were under the impression that
they need only file with the County:
Community Church, Christian Science, Episcopal, Nazarene.
The request was granted on the motion of Councilman Logan, seconded
by Co~oncilman ~Wolfe, and carried.
Resolution No. 1135, which is a "Resolution of the City Council of the
City of Chula Vista, approving Contract with the San Diego Gas and Electric
Co. Regarding Street Lights" was offered by Councilman Kidder, read in
full, passed, adopted and approved by the following vote, to-wit:
AYF~: Councilmen Kidder, DeWolfe, Riesland, Logan.
NO~S: None.
ABSENT: None.
Resolution No. 1135-A, which is a "Resolution of the City Council of the
City of Chula Vista Establishing Holidays for City Personnel in the Clas-
sified Service", was offered by Councilman DeWolfe, read in full,
passed, adopted and approved by the following vote, to-wit:
AYF~: Councilmen DeWolfe, Kidder, Rie~land, Logan.
NOF~: None.
ABS~T: None.
Resolution No. 1135-B, which is a "Resolution of the City Council of the
City of Chula Vista Accepting Dedication of Interest in Real Property to
the Said Cit~' was offered by Councilman Kidder, read in full, passed, ad-
opted and approved by the following vote, to-wit:
AYe: Councilmen Kidder, DeWolfe, Riesland, Logan.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
Adjournment
On motion by Councilman Logan, seconded by Counc~l,~ DeWolfe, and
carried, the meeting was adjourned to 7:00 o,clock P.M., June 20, 1950
