MINUSES OF A SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHUTA VISTA, CALIFORNIA
Held Monday, May 5, 1952
The Council met at 2x00 P.H., on the above date pursuant to "Consent for
holding Special Meeting" signed by all Council members.
Presents Councilmen Riesland, Logan, Halferty.
Absents Councilmen Hobel, DeWolfe.
The Civil Service Commission, having recommended an amendment to Rule II of
the Civil Service Rules, adding Class A-14, Juvenile Officer at Salary Range 17 to
the Classification and Compensation Plan, it was moved by Councilman Logan, seconded
by Councilman Halferty, and carried, that the amendment as above specified and recom-
mended, be adopted.
The Civil Service Commission, having also recommended the reclassification of
patrolman Leo Helly to Juvenile Officer, it was moved by Councilman Logan, seconded
by Councilman Halferty, and carried, that patrolman Leo Kelly be reclassified to
Juvenile Officer, his salary step to remain unchanged.
X On motion of Councilman Halferty, seconded by Councilman Logan, and carried,
authority was granted Mr. Bryant to purchase two Toro 30" Park mowers at a cost of
$475.00 each, plus tax, to be paid out of Cash Basis Fund and this fund to be re-
imbursed out of appropriation in next fiscal year's budget.
On motion of Councilman Logan, seconded by Councilman Halferty, which carried,
authority was granted Mr. Bryant to hire a temporary patrolman to July 1, 1952,
out of funds in surplus, to be transferred to Police Salary account.
On motion of Councilman Halferty, seconded by Councilman Logan, and carried,
the meeting was adjourned, sine die.
