Signals would hays to bo installed Jointly with the County of San Diogoo It was moved by Councilman Enith, socondnd by Council- man DoGraaf and carried, that the Engineering Depto proceed with the neceeeary engineering for presentation to the County Board of Supervisors for their approval, and aha( further traffic counts be made to detormZnn tho pattern of traffic turning loft onto Broadway from '*C" Street and turning left onto 'C" Street from Broadway. Xt was moved by Councilman BcEnina, seconded by Councilman Smith and carried, that ~130,037.68 be appropriated from the reserve for capital development of the G~nural Fund for purchaee of five notes of land East of Oleander St. and North and 8outh of Oxford St. extended/for the hrk-School Pilot project. Boss See had made /~rrangements to eliminate the pond within a week. ~//MITltO~OLITAH SEWER DISCUSSION Administrative Analyst Rose reported that the Sewer Conittee, at their various meetings, had very carefully discussed capacity reservations, maintenance and operation costs and financing of the proposed btropolitnn Sever System as it would affect ~hula Vista if we were to become a member. In discueeing the Couittees* report, Hr. Rose, stated tho recommendation was made that the Council proceed with negotiations with the City of San Diego for reservations of 17.3 million gallons per day capacity in the Metropolitan Sewer System. Tho ~ounclX asked that' the Administrator attempt to.brain by next week some kind ~f commitment from 8an Diego on the drainage irma to be amrved by the City of Chula ViSta, should we become a member of the · potem. The Clerk was directed to place the matter on the agenda for the next meeting.
