Councilman DeWolfe reported that the Finance Comaittee had gone over
the Warrants and recomaended that they be paid. It wae moved by Council-

that the East-.side of Woodlavn AVenue between D. Street and Chula Vista
Street be paved, all property owners except the one at the corner of D.
.Street and Woodlawn Avenue.having deposited their share of the coot.
It was moved by Councilman Radar, meconded by Cotanctlmae Daith, and
carried, that the City AdministratOr notify the owner of tho property
at D~ Street and Woodlwwn Avenue,.thet if he does not install hie sidewalks,
curbs and gutters, the City will.proceed to dO mo under provisions of the
1911 Act, and that ho bo appr~d of the ~muhmtantial increase in cost if

that tbs City pave the north half of MoRtebollo Street for approximately
200 feet st its Zamterly extremity after he hms installed the sidewalks,
curlJm and ~tterl; Mr. Bolts to pay for the material needed.
It was moved by Councilm hder, seconded by Councilman 8mith, and
carried, that the City enter into an afreemeot with Nr. Bolts according to

A letter Was read from the Chula Vista Sanitary Service offering to
provide twice a week collection of trash in the Vista ~quaro bang for
an additional 35 cents per month per unit. The Council lam of the opinion
additional trash contnisors placed throughout the project would be s
solution to the problem. City Administrator Wade wag instructed to get
together with Mr. Rhodes of the Sanitary Service to ascertain the coot at
which containers could be obtained and the number needed.

Clty~gngineer Floyd orated the City Finance Officer ham requested
better lighting for the Finance office, and he had obtained an eStimate
of $876. to rwe the old fixiurem and install new fixtures in the entire
office. ~be Council was of the opinion the lightinI wa~adoquste,
except for the corner office u~ed for the calculating machines.
It van decided to hold tho'~.~attor up until th®'~nee wings are completed
at which tim tbs City Administrator could bring in an estimate on the cost
of lighting the corner office, said comt to be paid from the Building fund
(1-18-d1).

City Attorney E. Campbell stated the Police Chief
was requeutinf that a new dog pound contract be drawn up wlth National
City and the County to include a fifty cent charge for destroying mi1
animals, and recommended the Council instruct the City Administrator to
terminate the comtrnctn and negotiate new ones. It was moved by Council-
man Smith, mecomded by Conncilmam Radar amd carried, that City Adminintrator
Wade be directed to make a complete elmdy of the matter and report back
with recommmudatioan for a nuitable contract,

Mayor DeGraaf stated the Planning Commission is
requesting that tho Council take immediate steps to acquire a City Planner.
City Administrator Wade suggested chan~lnf the title from City Planner to
Oirector of City Planning. It was moved by Councilman hder, ascended
by Councilman DeWolfe, and married that the title of City Planner be
changed to Director of City planning, and tha salary rained to Range 28

condemnation proceedinp will be necessary if L. St ia ever to be extended

by contacting the owner and seeing what hie ~oeiree are.

it ia found to be necessary.

Councilman DeWolfe stated that with wet weather
coming on a bad situation is being created bT the inotallation of curbs
and ~ttera and not paving tko shoulders. He was of the opinion considera-
tion should be liven to completins the shoulders or the curb amd gutter
program slowed down to only theme properties that arm willing to improve
their shoulders at this tame. It was m eyed by Councilman ftmith, seconded
by Councilman DmWolfe, and carried, that City Administrator Wade be
directed to make t practical study and come bach with reccmmmndmtionn on
whether to proceed with the program aa it ia now being done, or curtat! the
program as recommmndod by Councilman DoWolfe.

Councilman Radar brought up the question o! who
was to pay the City employees for o~ertimo worbd in preparing the grounds
for the Fiesta. It was hie opinion employees were to work on off hours
and be paid by the Fiesta Committee. He eaidpe~ment was due for 36 hours
overtime. The City Administrator, City Knfiaeer, and Street Dept. yore
directed to compile the aecemmary data on overt&me worked by City employees
amd present it to tho J~ntor Chamber of Commerce for ps,mont. The City
giueer was asked to determine if the employees were directed to work
ertime or worked voluntarily.

had arrived. City Engineer Floyd answered that tho Contractor had been

accordingly. Nr. Floyd stated the contractor is doing'all peenibXe
nov to expedite early delivery of the new etandardm.
