OF THE HOUSING ADVISORY COMMISSION AND STAFF MAY PARTICIPATE IN THIS MEETING

3.2. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS
Communication from Commissioner Hoyos requesting an excused absence from the
December 8, 2021 Housing Advisory Commission meeting.

5.1. CONSIDERATION OF RECOMMENDING ADDING A PROPOSED TENANT
PROTECTION ORDINANCE TO THE CHULA VISTA MUNICIPAL CODE
In response to a 10126121 Council referral and stakeholder input, staff has drafted an
ordinance to address additional tenant protections related to just cause terminations,
removal from the rental market and anti-harassment in Chula Vista.
Recommended Action:
Commission review Attachment 2, hear the presentation and provide an advisory
recommendation to City Council.

5.2. CONSIDERATION OF RECOMMENDING PROPOSED "THE RESIDENCES AT
ESCAYA!'AND "CASALAGO EASTLAKE"WORKFORCE HOUSING PROJECTS
Commission will consider joining the CMFA Joint Powers Authority to enable financing
the existing 239-unit The Residences at Escaya apartment complex at 1925 Avenida
Escaya (91913) and the CSCDA Joint Powers Authority to enable financing the existing
427-unit CasaLago Eastlake apartment complex at 2816 Cielo Circulo (91915) to
convert to a moderate-income rental community.
Recommended Action:
Commission review Attachment 3, hear the presentation and provide an advisory
recommendation to City Council.
