PUBLIC COMMENTS
Persons speaking during Public Comments may address the Commission on any subject matter
within the Commission’s jurisdiction that is not listed as an item on the agenda. State law
generally prohibits the Commission from discussing or taking action on any issue not included
on the agenda, but, if appropriate, the Commission may schedule the topic for future
discussion or refer the matter to staff. Comments are limited to three minutes.
1. RESOLUTION OF THE SAFETY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA
RECOMMENDING THAT THE CHULA VISTA CITY COUNCIL ESTABLISH
SPEED LIMITS AT THE FOLLOWING SEGMENTS: A) 50 MPH SPEED LIMIT ON
OLYMPIC PARKWAY BETWEEN HUNTE PARKWAY AND OLYMPIC VISTA
ROAD; B) 45 MPH SPEED LIMIT ON OLYMPIC PARKWAY BETWEEN OLYMPIC
VISTA ROAD AND WUESTE ROAD; AND SCHEDULE X OF THE REGISTER
MAINTAINED IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY ENGINEER BE AMENDED TO
REFLECT THE ESTABLISHED SPEED LIMITS
2. PEDESTRIAN AND BIKEWAYS SAFETY PROGRAMS – CIP UPDATE
