RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHULA VISTA MAKING VARIOUS AMENDMENTS TO THE
FISCAL YEAR 2021/22 BUDGET FOR APPROPRIATING
FUNDS THEREFOR
WHEREAS, the City desires to amend the Compensation Summary for all unrepresented
employees and elected officials ("Amended Compensation Summary") to inter alia, reflect
longevity pay for Police Captains at 25 years of service as set forth in the Amended Compensation
Summary attached to the related staff report as Attachment 2; and
WHEREAS, the City Charter states that at any meeting after the adoption of the budget,
the City Council may amend or supplement the budget by a motion adopted by the affirmative
votes of at least four members; and
WHEREAS, staff is recommending $60,280 in appropriations to multiple departments in
the General Fund resulting in a net impact increase; and
WHEREAS, staff is recommending $2,397 in appropriations to the Fire Department in the
Federal Grants Fund that will be made from available balances in this fund; and
WHEREAS, staff is recommending $552,709 in appropriations to the Fire Department in
the Transport Enterprise Fund that will be offset by revenues resulting in no net impact to this
fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista,
that it hereby amend the Fiscal Year 2021/22 budget and approves the following appropriations:
