The third sentence: The Committee is familiarizing itself with the Power Charge Indifference Adjustment, a monthly charge billed to all customers who depart the incumbent utility and purchase electricity through a Community Choice Energy program. The PCIA ensures that customers who stay with the incumbent utility do not have higher bills due to CCE customers leaving. 2. The 6th sentence: Some solar power contracts held by SDG&E may be transferred to San Diego Community Power with account transfers. At this time, SDGE has decided not to transfer these contracts. My apologies for not making these ideas more clear in the first place! Thank you. Carolyn Scofield A,geuiida Gru 2. As you know, we must take all essential steps to improve both indoor and outdoor air quality. The elimination of gas hook ups is the best way to improve indoor and outdoor air quality for both health and safety of all residents. Best regards, Rita Clement Ageuadr,,. With its Climate Emergency Declaration, Chula Vista would be joining with other cities and agencies in our region, our state, and our country. The SD Green New Deal Alliance support could certainly be an important part of this Declaration. Thank you. Gina Woodard Location: Submitted At: 3:21 pm 01-11-21 Dear Sustainability Commissioners, City Staff and City Manager, As a Chula Vista resident and local teacher, I enthusiastically support the Agenda item #6--the City of Chula Vista joining the San Diego Green New Deal Alliance. I am proud of our City's leadership on climate related issues and actions and it's commitment to achieve 100% renewable energy by 2035. Your vote of support for the San Diego Green New Deal will continue to reinforce your efforts and will set a precedent for other local cities to work together to advocate for setting impactful climate standards and guidelines. Thank you for all that you do! All the best, Gina Woodard Rita Clement Location:91914, CHULA VISTA Submitted At: 2:09pm 01-11-21 Dear Sustainability Commissioners, City Staff and City Manager, I support Agenda Item # 6. Numerous goals of the San Diego Green New Deal Alliance align with our city's Climate Action Plan goals and priorities, including Chula Vista's 100% renewable energy goal by 2035. Chula Vista has always been in a leadership role fighting the impacts of climate change. Our city may take a great step forward as an example to other cities by making a resolution in support of the San Diego Green New Deal Alliance priorities. I recommend the City of Chula Vista join the San Diego Green New Deal Alliance as a non voting supporting member. Best regards, Rita Clement
