Overall Sentiment Greg Moore Location: Submitted At: 3:02pm 06-23-20 If the public demand developer consider birds and wildlife, impact on my project should be considered in the overall mitigation. Impact to Yachtbuilder Greg Moore's spec. 60ft total yacht restoration value 2.4 mil in its 76th month of a 85 months. Yacht builder needs until March 2021 to finish including use 45 days to properly liquidate all project assets. Yacht builder spent capitol to move the large yacht to Chula Vista from the Mission Bay and get zoning. Yacht builder then built efficient yard. To move to anywhere other than back into the water, before March 1st 2021, would most likely severely damage the project. Southwest mobiles lease goes on until NOV 2021, can it hurt giving me until March. Let developer/seller do a development. Please, don't destroy 6 year effort for just a few months. Dec 1st. generously offered by buyer Jim Omally June 10th. My landlord error thought lease ended Nov 1st. only recently said its August 1. This has me worried sick and hurting efficiency. Covid hurt me 4 months, restart has been horrific. Proper Talent to finish are making more on unemployment. Trying to rush a luxury yacht at this late can destroy my dream and damage. Yacht builder begs: extend to March in writing in asap! Freaking out about what to do and where to go slows things down. Erin Crockett called said he would help so I can finish. Getting Seller/Buyer/City to give that in writing would relieve so much stress. Profit margin very thin. Moving early = DISASTER CAT 5 Jo Anne Springer Location: Submitted At: 6:16pm 06-20-20 Having a general plan in Chula Vista is almost a joke as it is constantly being changed to accommodate outside developers who are interested in increasing high density housing in the city. Turning the city into a complete bedroom community will eventually bankrupt the city. The short term benefits of developer fees are completely outweighed by the long term costs of an imbalance between residential and commercial development. Once again those of us who have made an enormous personal commitment to buy homes and live in Chula Vista, and who have placed our trust, foolishly or otherwise, in our elected officials, gather in writing to beseech you to put aside all considerations of short term gains and activity in the interests of the true long term survival of this city. Theresa Acerro Location: Submitted At: 4:05pm 06-19-20 This should wait until an in person hearing can be held when we can come and make our presentations!! I have a few more comments: As I said in my previously submitted comments to the MND this is an inadequate document because there are 6 businesses that have been on this lot some for more than 20 years, in one case more than 30 years which are not mentioned in the MND. They provide good jobs-engineers, $45 an hour mechanics, etc. They provide needed services to municipalities, the Navy and developers. The boat yard is building a yacht which he will be selling for several million dollars if he can finish it before being thrown off the property. Kleen Blast Abrasives is an essential industry for the Navy and the boat yards. They provide a service no one else in the county provides that is critical to the operation of the boat yards and the Navy. They depend on the rail to bring in the raw materials they need, so there is no other site they could move to. They have been here since 1962. Rapid Prep provides heavy duty machinery needed by municipalities, the Navy, and developers for various projects they need to do. Southwest Mobile Storage provides first rate portable buildings needed for the offices and storage needs of developers and others. These businesses provide good well-paying employment desperately needed by the city.
